How about sewing on seed beads which would embellish the scrunchies and resemble chocolate sprinkles

Might try that but I'm not very nimble with my fingers since I broke my wrist year before last. I have got a lot of brown beads I'm intending to get rid of...............maybe a glue dot would fix them on. I'm trying to spend as little as possible on pressies this year so if I can use something I've already got then all to the better,

I've done one (well sort of) with a mixture of cream and light brown scrunchies but sorry, don''t have a digital camera so can't show it. Haven't quite finished it yet............still trying to decide on what to put on as 'chocolate sprinkles - unless I do actually use coffee sprinkles that I've got. They'd wash out ok so the scrunchie could be used for bath time. And I've got some cinammon sticks so I'll pop one of those in and maybe add some cafe latte sachets (the person who its for prefers latte) and packets of chocolate sprinkles. Ive done mine as something to add to a hamper and the mugs got coffee/cappacino/latte written all over it.

Hi mary43, I`m just wondering if you actually need to add the sprinkles:confused: not sure it would actually work, and if you scatter coffee granules on a scrunchie they wouldn`t really stay where you want them to  .

The sead beeds are a good idea ( I love crafting with seed beads) but then the scrunchie couldn`t be used for its intended purpose, unless the recipient liked being scratched to pieces.

Its a tricky one... love the sound of what you have made thought, Im sure the recipients will be very pleased...something homemade and thought about is soooo much better than rubbish in the shops.

I made a retro sweet box for a friend at work and she totally loved it :j

In hobbycraft they sell those fabric pens that put little foam dots on things this might be a better idea for you

    What about sticky dots ?
    there are two types the
    regular ones and the other
type that you can use and
    remove without it marking
what you have stuck it to.

At 99p a pack and you get loads
you could stick your beads in
place and they would be easily
    removeable.they would also be
useful for card making etc so
although you have to go to the
    expense of buying them theres
lots of use you could put them
    too.Nothing worse than buying
    somthing for a particular project
and having little or no use for
    later.

    Lovely cushion Rosekitten!

Went back to Morrisons and they had the aprons this time, so had to get it. Too cute to cut up though but I might change my mind yet  I want to make a little curtain for my backdoor window, might need another apron for that. Now all Morrisons need is the cake tins, I have the worktop saver already too.

They look lovely rosekitten. Well done:T

Think I might just leave the scrunchie's as they are in the coffee mugs, and just add cinammon stick and a little packet of choccy sprinkles (got loads in the cupboard cos I'm hooked on cappacinos.......lol) and pop a sachet of cappacino in with it.

Have done two little strawberry cup cakes with my cream flannels...........took a while to get it right but I did it. Been to the florist to see if they had any strawberries........chap looked at me a bit bemused to say the least and they hadn;t got any...............I went to the cake shop but it was shut !!!! Be Thursday now before its open again ...gggrrrrr.........don't you just hate it when you want to finish something off and can't.

Retro boxes look good but I've ended up scratching the perspex top a bit trying to get the label off so I'll have to get some peel-offs from the card shop just to cover that bit up ............it'll personalise them at the same time so all is not lost.

I did scratched mine too as I was so desperate to get the labels off :o ... so I made a little banner on my comp to cover the scratched bit...:j
