Hadnt thought of beads...........I was going to go through my endless pile of necklaces - I've got far too many - how many can you wear at one time ? Some of them are multicoloured and some are shades of brown...........just might do for chocolate sprinkly effect on my coffee scrunchie but whats the best way to stick them on without spoiling the scrunchie or flannel ?
I've got glue dots but think they might be a bit too strong a glue.Mary

if they are tiny beads
with small holes but enough
to get a straight pin through
you could always pin them in
place.If you have a brown
nail varnish just paint the end of
the pin so it blends in better
Also Asda do two types of sticky
dots the regular ones and the
removable type that you can
stick things in place but are
easily removeable and can be
restuck elswhere.This might
be an answer as well. They are
the same price as the regular ones

if you have a look on the first page
we have step by step pics on how
to fold it.Idealy I should have used
a thinner one but at the time I only
had one of those ultra thick egyptian
ones to hand so it turns out a bit tubby
but you kind of get the dea looking at
it the medium thick ones seem to work
best these are the ones that are 45p in
Asda or 39p in Home & Bargain.:j:j:j0 -
rosekitten - been into town but the card/craft shop doesn't have any robins. The cake decorating shop next door to them was closed (early closing day but some shops close all day here) so I'll try them another day.Mary

thanks for that for some reason
they just havent been in our shops
here.But traditionaly you have a
robin and a sprig of holly on a
yule log and that was the effect
I was trying to create.
Thought I would make my own
box to display it in by using a
cake box as a template next
time I spot one the right size.:j:j:j0 -
Like the box idea............I was going to do 'yule logs' with a piece of holly =they would look a lot better in a box. Only other thing I'd thought of was a silver cake board -not the thick ones, those that might be thing enough to cut to size, then pop a couple of pieces of blue tac on to secure the log.Mary
