if you can get to an IKEA store
    Yesterday I bought a 100 white
    3 ply napkins for £1.19

    size - 40cm by 40cm / 16" x 16"

They also had coloured 3 ply ones in
lovely shades same size as above
but only 50 in a pack for 99p

I dont know anywhere that does
them cheaper in that size and thats
their regular price for both types.

I was amazed at the price for the diolies
as I was looking at them before Christmas
and they wanted £2.50 a packet for silver
and gold ones. the red and green metalic
ones were £2.99 packet ! Too much for
me to pay at those prices.

    .

  • I did see a pack of plain white paper napkins in Sainsburys today in there basics range I think they were 50 for 50p. I should have got them but I got pre-occupied with some canape sticks and table confetti in their luxury range! O dear.

For anyone still searching for strawberries, Hobbycraft in Bolton have some in the clearance bit. There's 12 in a pack for £2.99and they're fairly realistic looking. They were on hanging racks near all the fake flowers.

Might be worth looking in your local one.

  • Has anyone actually made proper cakes in the strawberry cake cases they got from ebay??

If so how did they turn out??

Im wanting to make little cakes for my mum with lots of pink butter icing piped really high and loads of sprinkles!
I plan to put these in a proper cake box ( like you get at the bakers).

Hey Gang.....been thinking about this stuff on top of a 'cup of coffee'....what about a light dusting of talc if the scrunchie is dark, or a touch of face powder--or mixed spice:eek: -- if it's lighter? Just my musings.....But I'm going to look for a glass mug & make one for Mother's Day I think, cuz she loves her 'frothy coffee':D

Still no ideas for male versions thensad-smiley-339.gif I missed the reindeer flannels at crimbo, so wondered if you could direct me to the instructions...maybe I can adapt for a grissly or summat:o

Oh...someone was asking about wider celophane, but I wondered if you could use a large piece of voile, & attach the pretty scarf with a few bobby pins or something?Again...just thinking aloud...

    Thanks in advance.....

BigMummaF - I've got three scrunchies all stitched together so I've squashed them into a mug so a bit of both colours show.........bit of talc on the brown piece might look ok..........can't loose anything by trying it out.
I was going to do one for ex foster girls hubby today but as I'm doing one for her it seemed a bit of a repetition so I just popped a sachet of coffee and a sachet of chocolate sprinklys in his.

rosekitten - been to the cake shop and got some robins..........will pm you.
Forgot to ask about doilies............lol.................brain was fixed on this last minute birthday shopping................lol
