Hi All!!
Maria your imps are just adorable and your son makes a great Harry Potter!!
Yesterday I went out shopping with my birthday money burning a hole in my pocket. We happened to walk past Wilkos so popped in for a quick look and managed to get 21 brown flannels and a load more soap so this should keep me going for now! Still need 14 more to get to the 40 I need! My flat looks like a grotto or something! My other half said am I planning to take over the world one reindeer at a time?!! Saving hard for a brighter future!:beer:0 -
This is such a great thread! I felt very inspired yesterday after reading it so I've gone out and bought some flannels and ordered some muffin cases off ebay. I'm going to put a carmex lip balm/gloss tube in the centre of mine with the red lid looking like a cherry!
That's hopefully how it will look anyway!
Thanks everyone for all your ideas!FTB Tracker

great idea!
I'm thinking of doing/getting lots of different cupcake-style gifts and putting them on one of those Argos wire cakestands in a kind of hamper style (if you see what i mean, just think the cake stand will look good all done up in cellophane!)
Has any one seen these in accessorise? I thought they would be easy to copy.
fingers crossed - havent posted images for a while...0 -
emg those look really interesting
thanks for posting ,as it happens today they were
selling undies 5 pairs for a £1 all reduced
with 20% of on top of that so they were really
80p a pack of 5 at Ethel Austins in fact everything
seemed to have 20% off
Thought I would have a go you have to fold these
quite narrow to get a fat enough circle to fill the
case, the cup cases we have been buying are too
tall for them but the regular muffin cases seem to
fit these and then they appear to expand after a
while perhaps a thin ribbon wrapped around the
muffin case to keep it in shape would work
Perhaps as I have done place them in a muffin
baking tray ( Homebargains £1.99 ) The brown
muffin cases are from Asda and are 60p a box
you seem to get loads in a box, just checked 75
in total.I would also advise teasing them out
in a thickness of two or three to make them
a bit stronger.
Also the smaller the design on them the better
the ones I have here with larger patterns on
look awful
CLICK ON PICS TO ENLARGE
you can see above how the case is starting
to expand

Rosekitten they look fab
Paddingtondoo, wow those icecreams look amazing, well done
I haven't done anything creative for ages, but you are all getting me in the mood again, I still have lots of flannels left from last year, now the question is: will I do Christmas logs again or switch to reindeer, they are so cute, not sure where to buy the bells or brown pipecleaners though, will have to look back to see if I can find it somewhere on this thread.0 -
Rosekitten they look really brilliant:T0

thanks for all the pics rosekitten, thats given me lots more ideas too. I like the idea of using a baking tray.
Ideally I'd love to find some knickers with cupcakes on to use but they only seem to do those for children:(0
