Hi where have people bought xmas ribbon for xmas logs? I have priced up some at 69p a meter and need 15 mtrs. It almost works out at 40p a log:eek: (incl a bow) Trying to keep cost down any ideas please.
My friend is making holly from fimo clay. Will try and post photo when finished.
    Thanks Mariae.
Hi - nearer Xmas you should be able to get more like 5m for £1 if you go to place like B&M, Home and bargain etc... That's where I got mine a year or two ago. Sometimes hobbycraft do special deals - you could also try Dunelm. I got 5m of thin ribbon for the reindeer for 99p by the till although similar was more like £3 at the back of the shop where the rest of the ribbon was.

Also you don't use an awful lot of ribbon on a yule log - how many are you making? unless you are making more like 45+ I'd be very surprised if you need 15m??

Yes Debsy brilliant, the muffin looks so expensive in the glitter wrapping. I love the snowman soup too, havent done these yet but might have to join in the fun.

  • My daughter has been going "awwww" at all your lovely pics! I have a sneaky feeling that Santa might bring her some snowman soup with her presents! I bought some of the cones and added some jelly beans and tied it and it looked quite nice, i then popped it away and discovered it 2 weeks later (in my xmas box) but noticed that the beans had all stuck together and i'm now a wee bit concerned about making these kinda things up so far in advance..... Guess what I'm asking, How long in advance do you make them up?
