Thought these were really cute and would do for toddlers or baby hampers or even on nappy cakes

this is supposed to be a rabbit........... but I thought it was a kangaroo :) Still, if the children had a go at making these, I don't suppose they would mind what it was as long as it vaguely resembled some animal :) great for keeping them occupied for a while.

    Hello everyone,

Will I bought a pack of brown and white face cloths yesterday hoping to make some xmas logs but mine just look terrible - Is there an art to doing this?!
    Thanks Helen x

Also wondering where can I get the muffin cases from? I only want a few - I don't use ebay so I'm not sure where to go?

What about using something different? I saw packs of 4 bathroom tumblers in my local Asda reduced from 80p to 40p a pack
Or you could try making your own, I've not seen the cardboard muffin cases in any shops sorry.

Helen, have a look at page 1, if you scroll down just a little way, Rusty has posted a picture step-by-step of how to make the muffins and the yule logs.

Just finished my choc yule logs............can;t really explain how I did them except I folded them so the edges met in the middle, turned them over at the lengthways end a bit and rolled them up. They've been held together with elastic bands till today and I got some little bobble headed pins to hold them together and put a gold ribbon round the middle. Just need some sort of decoration to put on the ribbon now.

Been trying to do a sock snowman and not getting on very well...........wrong sort of socks for a start............lol Mine have heels and think they should be tubular.
Anyway, started to filled one sock with rice and that didn't look right so in the end I rolled up some white flannels I'd got and stuffed them in..........the bit where the heel is sticks out now like a nose...........lol The top of the sock had a red and white check frill round it so thats its hat ! I've just divided mine with an elastic band for now and its just head and body but think it'll look ok..............(fingers crossed OH doesn't laugh his head off)

Thanks again for your help x
