has anyone bought cases from ebay user shophappyly? appears to have a nice range of cases

everything looks nice and I think this is
    probably a good enough seller

I like the look of these

They cost more but the postal rate is a
bit cheaper but it kind of balances out
to the same as the other seller

but watch out because these are very
narrow too small to take a flannel, yet
the image on the listing gives you idea
    they are bigger

thanks to got-it-spend-it for pointing out the
size difference I have put in the size difference
to give everyone a better idea.Because I never
realised until the brown ones arrived that there
was such a big difference in size.I had previously
been trying to squash a pair of socks in the
strawberry one and wondering why I was getting
nowhere with it and yet others were managing to
    make thiers fit.

Just to give you an idea of these in terms of size

the strawberry one on the left is 5cm diameter
at the base , 7cm diameter accross the top and
6cm tall, this type is perfect for flannel cakes
    when you use one flannel

The brown one on the right is 7cm diameter
at the base , 9cm diameter accross the top
and 7cm tall.these are perfect for flannel cakes
using two different coloured flannels or for a
pair of adult sized fluffy socks.I reckon you could
use a pair of adults sports sock or two or
three pairs of lighter weight adult sized socks

Just to say that I have recently bought the larger brown chequered ones and they are also perfect for the two-colour flannel ones- I used a cheapy-thin white flannel and a quite luxurious thick brown one and it filled the case totally. It's too big for just one flannel though.

I didn't know that! I used the chequered brown ones for all my double cakes however I haven't made any single ones as yet I have just stuck to doubles. Oh and for doubles I have used asda flannels which are fairly thick but a strange shape, and I have also used wilkos 25p cheapys which are a perfect size for the cheque cases.

Will report back on how I got on with the seller. Im making oh a chocolate and whisky cal free theme, as he loves both, im so excited! I found a supplier of whisky soap too yesterday and Im going to put nice bubble bath/shower gel into some old whisky bottles and make a fancy label for them. I get so excited about these things! OH always likes that my gifts for him come with thought as opposed to how much money i spend etc :D (which is a good thing since im not exactly loaded :p)

that whisky soap sounds good I remember Mary43
    making bubblebath bottles of booze.

If anyone is looking for bubblebath or shower gel for
sensitive skin,Asda have the Simple brand
    reduced to 50p & 80p each.
I reckon its a reduction that is available
everywhere as the ticket on the shelf edge was a
    proper printed one

  • sorry this may of already been mentioned, butI was in Debs today and noticed they were doing bath bombs done up to look like cup cakes, they also had a whole 'picnic' hamper done up with soaps sponges etc. The hamper was about £20, the bath bombs about 5£ for 4 which was a bit pricey but might be nice divided up between flannel cup cakes.

I bought a pack of these for someone last year - they were thrilled - of course this was before I found Special Occassions & Celebrations ;)
Now if I bought a pack i would divide them up and make a nicer; more expensive looking gift - for less money of course:D the receiver would be over the moon:j

It's really not good when you have to look at your own tutorial to remember how to make a cupcake :rotfl: Just made a coffee colour and brown double cupcake for SIL's 21st hamper will put a pic up later as camera went flat.

Pic of above, forgot to take a pic before I wrapped it in a cello bag and added ribbon. :(
