I bought it from a local shop
its not the best quality, but it
looks nice enough on this,if you
using ribbon for something you
have to tie and untie all the time
on something this would not be suitable
It is ribbon made from polyester fabric
not the florists kind, you can iron it with
a warm iron.I notice too that doubled up it
does have a more expensive look, wish now
I had done that on my cake but was unsure
at the time about amounts to use.But like
anything you make for the first time its a
bit of a learning curve and next time I would
have a much better idea about how to go
about things.:j:j:j0 -
Can I ask where did you get the pearl rope from??
Many thanks

I bought the pearl rope in John Lewis
but it can work out cheaper as I have
recently seen this in another shop 20p
a metre cheaper. I used about 2 metres
on this, but I have seen thinner pearl
and different shaped ropes that are
just as nice that would look as
effective and some of them are
as cheap as 50p a metre, also there are
reels of these pearls that may prove a
better buy if you may be making a few.

Hi, First time adding photo's, so I hope I have done it correctly.
My first attempt at towel cakes. I couldn't find any muffin cases over here in Spain, so I've made my own. I plan on wrapping them in cellofane and maybe adding a label and some ribbons.A creative mess is better than tidy idleness0 -

Littlewoods - £214.82 (DD set up so 0%)

Cake cases most of us use these from this seller: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Baking-Frenzy you cannot buy them big enough for flannels in the UK. Also the best flannels to use are the cheapy ones (25p) ish from Wilkos and places like that, they all fold up lovely.
Hope this helps
Please would someone give me the link to thyeother ebay selller who has been mentioned on here and sells paper cups too? They seemed to have more choice than the one above - unless it is the same one and they've sold out?
My computer is on go slow and the search is taking too long and zipping through the thread looking for blue links is sending my eyes funny! Knew I should have noted it as soon as I read it!
Also, re the above seller - is it the large cases you buy, or normal muffin cases?
