Hi, First time adding photo's, so I hope I have done it correctly.

My first attempt at towel cakes. I couldn't find any muffin cases over here in Spain, so I've made my own. I plan on wrapping them in cellofane and maybe adding a label and some ribbons.

Please would someone give me the link to thyeother ebay selller who has been mentioned on here and sells paper cups too? They seemed to have more choice than the one above - unless it is the same one and they've sold out?

My computer is on go slow and the search is taking too long and zipping through the thread looking for blue links is sending my eyes funny! Knew I should have noted it as soon as I read it!

Also, re the above seller - is it the large cases you buy, or normal muffin cases?

    Tia

I cannot remember the name of the other
one there was one in Hong kong, its somewhere
on this thread. But if you are ordering from
Baking Frenzy watch out if you are thinking
of the brown ones they have listed they are
a lot bigger than the regular sized ones.Below
is a pic to show the size difference. Not a
waste though as the larger size takes the
thick fluffy socks really well, they are the same
price as he regular sized ones.

You could always email the seller and see
if she has any other designs available she
    may list some for you.

    Thank you Mary,
You wouldn't believe just how many nights I have gone to bed thinking about muffin cases and wrapping these flannels AND then it's the first thing I think of in the morning.

Nappy cakes :D Towel cakes :D Gifts in a jam jar :D ....... I am sure my friends and family are starting to worry about me ..... :rotfl:

You all keep coming up with these brilliant ideas, and I am really struggling to find everything to make them with. I keep looking at ebay, but then all these postage fees to spain really start to add up.

Oh well, you've gotta have a hobby :T

  • Im going to try and make these for folk this xmas and for up coming bdays. ive just ordered my cases, I have the cloths in...cld someone advise. I want to put the cup cake in a cello bag with a bottle of nice bubble bath and a tea light candle in a holder, but Im at a loss as to what sort of size of bag that would be, do i get block bases...etc etc! wld i be better just getting a small basket and some cello wrap? (not seen baskets for decent prices anywhere, went round asda, morrisons and ikea today and thought they all seemed expensive) also, the (xmas) cake slice, I cant seem to follow the instructions, not sure what the first box is, and how u wrap the cloth around the other cardboard bit? Just a case of folding it in to make it pretty?

On the front page there are
    instructions for making the
    cupcakes,logs and cake slices
I never thought I should have
    photographed my wedding cake
as I made it.I will do for the next
one and pop it on the front page.
    the whole thing is towels.

Just to say that I have recently bought the larger brown chequered ones and they are also perfect for the two-colour flannel ones- I used a cheapy-thin white flannel and a quite luxurious thick brown one and it filled the case totally. It's too big for just one flannel though.
