this one below is made out of an
oblong of grease proof paper with
a slight curve cut out of the edges.
You could use more fancy paper or
a different colour I got this idea from
watching a bloke eating a muffin in
    Cafe Nero

I ned to get a wriggle on & make this sock bouquet for sis' b'day:o I've been experimenting tho....so all is not lost.....yet:eek:

Been pointed in this direction by Rainmac. Looking to make a couple of cupcakes out of flannels however didn't realise it all looks so easy. Since reading through most of the thread I found a like for reindeer so may make these instead 2 (one in each colour) for all family from the children. :)
I may fall back in here screaming ans shouting because i will screw it up!!!

Bigmumma, how are you getting on with your sock roses? I make these for the top of my nappy cakes (only use them on the smallest cake at the moment)
here is a couple of pics.

    Love your sock roses!

I like the reindeer too but think it looks a bit difficult, have got lots of brown flannels so might have a go - gives me lots of time to sort something else out if it doesn't work :rotfl:

My brown ones are from Wilkinsons but they are dark brown not tan like some of the reindeer on here. You beat me to it, I'm going to look for wobbly eyes, bells. pom poms and pipecleaners today - was going for ebay too, can get almost anything on there can't you! :D
