Yes thanks we had a fab time as usual. And I planned our outings some days to end up near a dollar tree. my excuse being that i needed to cool off in the air conditioned store.LOL
the larger ones are the best . but this year I have noticed quite an influx of "dollar stores". some of them are filled with tack tho.
got some lovely, cheap and unusual gift bags and crafty bits, amongst other things.

Dont worry about the bags it was good
of you to look for me,it may be that they
are something that is classed as a seasonal
item and they only sell them at certain times of
the year like Easter & Christmas. Thanks for trying
it is appreciated.Glad you had a good time, did you
spot anything that looked like it would in time make
its way over here into out £ shops, they get everything
    first in the States.

Poundland do a packet of flanels in the
baby section in Poundland.there are six
in the packet there were different
combinations but I noticed one packet had
three spotty ones and three plain
another one had two spotty, two striped
and two plain.they are a bit smaller than
regular flannels but I noticed that they
    have piping round the edges.
I bet these would be really nice to use
as a contrast, plus they are cheap so
you can afford to play around with them

Hi, I have been lurking on this thread for a while and wanted to say how creative you all are. :T

I have just come across this and thought it could be used as gift for someone. I am sure the sundae could be improved on though.

Rosekitten. your right they are seasonal. I asked at a couple of the stores and they said they only had what was on the racks. and if there isn't any left to try again later in the year towards thanksgiving time. so will have to pursuade hubby to take me back then..

as to whether there are new exciting nik naks coming our way soon.... well i would say not...BUT if one could go into a dollar tree well into the suburbs away from any tourist areas I would imagine there could be new items. i think the stores nearer to the coast stock the older goods as they will still sell there.

I have had a go at making this one

I only have two regular sized flanels
it was not very successful.I would
say you need to use a regular
flanel and for the contrasting flanel
ie the spotty one on the pic your
best using either one of those
cheap 20p ones or the baby flannels
    from Poundland.
Two regular sized ones seem too
    thick

I was in town today and noticed
    that Radley have a cupcake
    handbag in their new range.

Could maybe use to tie an individual cake in cello?

Also seen cupcake socks in M&S but they aren't fluffy - if they were they would be perfect for a sockcake! :j
