Yeah - when put monopoly figures into RM I realised the kind of house I'd like was probably over £1M. So I agree we have to find a way to love the homes we have rather than be on the endless escalator of wanting something bigger and better. It's so seductive though.

  • Gaaah this month has just been blaah. Went back to work and feel like I've only just surfaced. Have paid zero attention to my money and consequenlty have £50 to last until pay day and no over payment.

  • On the plus side. I've exercised three times this week and saw little bro and his wife today for the first time since the weeding. Roll on February!!

  • Ha ha!! Yup wedding 🤣
  • DH has taken both the DC to football this morning so I have a few hours peace hurrah. Going to strip all the beds, put a load of washing on and put the remaining washing away.
I then need to raid the freezer and see what batch cooking I can do. Have been so busy at work which has lead to too many £££s spent on trips to the shops.
Need to did out the slow cooker too, need to find some good recipes for it, so I can come home and eat something hot!
  • Just realised I never posted the goals for this year!
    So here they are.

    1. Mortgage
Reduce mortgage to £259,000, a total reduction of 31k. I'd really like to get to 250 but need to do some home improvements to stop me spending too much on holidays!

    2.Home improvements
    A. Finish decorating and furnishing the sitting room
    B.Buy furniture for the hallway
    C. Buy new double bed for the spare room

    3.Health
Loose 1 stone in weight and exercise at least 2 x per week
    Walk 10k steps a day

    4. Career
Apply for a MA in educational leadership
  • Exciting goals OT! Is the MA alongside work?

  • Thanks @powerspowers and @savingholmes!
    Love this community.
Yes, MA is part time, it would start in September and last two years. Need to apply now though, hoping to put in application this week!
