As before OP, I work in the sector. To get my role I've also had to study in the sector. I have a comprehensive understanding of how it works, gained over twenty or so years.  I have daily contact with students and hear none of the comments that you claim are being made. What i do see is the enormous effort that has been made to deliver for our students. 
Maybe you could tell us which institution you are concerned about? There are people here who may be able to help you to resolve matters, and point you to appropriate information, or help to clarify your understanding of the situation.
