Aha! Found you! I also have a problem with one foot after falling in a rabbit hole in July but mine is a plantar tear rather than the Fasciitis. A bit more permanent unless I go down the surgery route but there are orthotics (via the lovely NHS Podiatrist) and athlete-strappings to hold the toes down and together so you don't have to get different shoes. Improvements in the pain levels hereSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the Grow your own thread
My new diary is here3 -
Orthotics have improved my plantar fasciitis. I had extra inserts made to go in sandals too. I was over the moon when I found the Wolky make of sandals as I hadn’t been able to wear them for years. They were expensive but worth every penny.Your walk sounds horrendous. Unless I really have to I’m a fair weather walker these days. Sometimes this getting older lark is a pain but better than the alternative 😄January spends - £587.583

Thanks for your help with the plantar recommendations I’ve never heard of Wolky sandals but will definitely look them up been for a walk this morning got my 10000 steps in but got to the bottom of the street and thought I was going to have to turn back my foot was in absolute agony but I kept going and it was a lot easier by the time I got back my son recommended a you tube video that does stretches for runners not that I’m a runner and never will be but he is he was called Vlad Izel plantar I came back and did them it was on 20 mins about 15 of those were exercises it was very easy and my feet just feel so much better my calves feel so relaxed and warm it was easy and definitely worth doing I will be doing this every day he was explaining how we can push the exercise to much and these stretches were just to get the blood flowing and help healing very gentle and we have no I’ve well not on the paths we walked we kept ne’er the town didn’t go anywhere sheltered as we we still have a fair bit of snow but it’s slowly going I do wear orthotics in my work shoes but been wearing trainers while I’ve been of and of course slippers which I don’t think help no support salmon and veg tonight nice easy tea have a good day everyone whatever you are doing1

You just very finely dice some potatoes and boil them for a short time with some frozen diced mixed veg. Drain and mix with curry paste then cut the wrap in half, fill and fold. Ready to go in the oven. I think the recipe might be on the PON website.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
