Years ago when I worked in an estate agents and everything was paper based it was 6 weeks exchange 8 weeks completion. Obviously that was if no hitches. And they call it progress 🙄I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

My friend is having the same time scale problems. The house moving world went crazy because of the stamp duty thing.1

I've been looking at getting some banqueting chairs as a number of catering companies have cancelled orders, and also leased chairs and tables that have been returned from restaurants that have not survived the lockdowns - there are some proper bargains around. Just trying to make sure they are not institutional looking - I have squeezed 18 in my dining room before now but it involves blocks of wood to make tables the same height (and as for chairs, lol, all sorts!) - such fun thoughSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Morning can you believe it I am probably less than a month away from moving and the neighbours from hell have done a flit in the middle of the night everyone is breathing a sigh of relief and the peace is just wonderful I had a bit of a meltdown as I sat in my lovely garden this morning just watching the birds and thinking about all the hard work we have put into this but I’ve talked some sense into myself I’ve made the decision I like the house we moving into it won’t have the lovely views we have but we have a nice view the garden was getting to much for my hubby and it will only get harder god only knows who they will put in that house now and my lovely neighbours are getting older and who would I get as neighbours when they go got to think positive nothing I can do now just sit here surrounded by boxes and get ready to move ba****ds on a lighter note I have made a decision when I move my diet starts with a vengeance no mucking about I was doing really well and these last few weeks I have failed miserably I have plenty to keep me busy when I move and will be hopefully back to work soon I want to step up the exercise and get down to some serious savings I’ve got big plans I am starting first of august that gives me a full year until my sons wedding I’ve got a head like a shed at the minute and can’t focus on anything but moving although I actually feel like a great big weight has been lifted off my shoulders when I saw the empty house this morning haven’t felt this relaxed in ages have a good day everyone whatever you are doing3
