Narco, so sorry to hear of your loss. I hope all your arrangements go as smoothly as they can during this terribly difficult time.
Well, its Wednesday and I am back after being MIA.I felt another lockdown was in the offing so I have been flying like a mad woman (dont say it! i know its true!) so I am back into home schooling mode, so I can keep DS and DD4 on task.
DS is in "class" via google classroom without TOO much difficulty. DD4 is having issues and the school is trying to resolve, but is playing Edshed, Piano tiles in between.
Most of Monday level 1 is done over the last 2 days, and Tuesday is mostly complete. I stripped bed last night and made it up with the spare linen, so I have got to run the WM in a minute when kids have "breaktime" as governed by DS class. At first glance the house doesnt look like the usual Skint Pit, it actually "looks" quite good, but I have a missing phone that kids have mislaid and it could be anywhere, but its not anywhere obvious.....so that is on my task list for today!
Also back on fatclub with a vengeance this week, so I have to "weigh" and report ready for zoom meeting once I have decided where I am booking into this week, so I need to think about a sensible lunch in a minute as well.
well enough procrastination, time for me to get on and make some headway. I aim to get back on here after lunch with a progress report of some sort
The cold never bothered me anyway9 -
School are bombarding me with emails and texts I just do not need!!I have sent OH and Dot too Mr T.. She needed to be out and he needs to pick up some stuff from school for DD1's mini beasts. He was not happy about her going with him but she really needs to be out.. she has left the house once since school finished for christmas and she is absolutelu bouncing off the walls. I sent them with a note and said Dot can choose some red apples for herself and something for dinner if she is well behaved and listens.
I have painted my nails and done nothing else!
Had some christmas deliveries though so made a good start on stocking fillers and boots! I have some Next returns to package once my nails are properly dry which seems to be taking an age!
OH can get the boxes out of the loft when he gets home and we will dismantle christmas this evening. There isn't much tbh.
Lunch next for the girls and then they can read for a bit.. and we may have an xbox ban for the remainder of the day because if they don't stop screeching at one another they may need to be gagged!! lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
Hello all. Piggers I have also started Christmas shopping.
Today, I've done one very busy work shift, walked the dogs and am reorganising some drawers and furniture in three rooms before getting back to the paid stuff.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
I have been for a walk with grumpy dog. It is nice and bright now after this morning's rain. I have just had lunch.
Earlier I cleaned the downstairs sink & toilet, and then cleaned the walls & floor of the utility. There was black mould on the walls behind the sink & laundry bin 😕 It now smells reassuringly of bleach!
I need to get back on it now!10 -
Hi all
Resolutely ignoring the gremlins that are following me around and doing things that are supposed to make me feel better, stuck to my 7 hours paid stuff, did some exercise, had a healthy tea and a nice soak in the bath. DH has been doing housework today, I had to help sort the washing out or my favourite black jumper was going in with the towels, but at least he was making an effort.
Flying has been a bit here and there, but I think he is home again tomorrow so I can make him a list. I am so thankful I dont have to home school, I tried it a bit when DS was poorly and it drove me to distraction. Hugs to anyone just a bit overwhelmed at the moment x10 -
Finally back on here...
The day started with a shock of having to push soft snow off the car before I could go to work. At least it was easier than scraping ice. I had a full on day at work, so flying has been - ahem - minimal, might be the word. I stuck a load of washing in before I left, DH hung it up and I managed to iron the bits that needed it this evening. Other than that, the usual cooking of dinner (glad I halved the amount of chipotle flakes in the tacos, as they were HOT!), dw crammed and running, WULTD all the other bits. I am now showered and in pjs, with 2 plastic bags on my feet that are apparently going to give me amazingly soft feet....an unwanted Xmas present of DD’s.
I hope your DD was successful in her interview, Mademoiselle.
Well done to all those with exercise plans - I need some of your motivation as I have become a couch potato since the clocks went back.
Hugs to everyone who is struggling or just plain fed up x9 -
Narco Sorry to hear your news xWell the week got interesting. Dancegran fell out of bed on Saturday, we were rung by her lifeline company. Given the virus situation we decided that she didn’t need a doctor and to watch and monitor her. On Monday her carer rang saying she wasn’t herself so I walked down to her house as I don’t have the car in-the week any more. The paramedic had arrived before me and she was taken to the main hospital by ambulance with a suspected infection. I got a call yesterday requesting I went in as she had deteriorated, I prepared for the worst. She has improved so visiting is again banned.I have removed the items that had fallen behind a cabinet as I needed to replace the cable that had fallen out of my printer.
A wash done and ground floor vacuumed.
I have joined the WAWC so budge up a bit.8 -
Woke up late but I managed to wash a few cups & plates to lessen the load for my husband after work.Work was really great today! I'm learning to love it and see the good in it. The daily team meetings we have are a great help as we have a laugh and it's nice to have some virtual company! After work my husband did the washing up, vacuumed the living room and made us dinner! He has been a huge star lately and things between us are still going well (we had a very rocky, rollercoaster year in 2020 where it was make or break)Today's completed tasks;Washing awaya load of washing onSorted bedside unit out (still need to figure what to do with the stuff i want to keep but not store in the unit)Got rid of some stuffSome more clothes in the recycling bag - including a top i brought not long ago...it doesn't suit me & want to downsize as much as I can...Folded the towels in the bathroom
Made an account for my pension , need to go through paper work in the near future to sign up & see if i can move it to one thing?8 -
