Good evening
1st day back at work today after Christmas. I had 3 under 5's, and we had a chilled day playing. That is the last time I will be doing that for the foreseeable 😥 Mum of 2 brothers has been furloughed - again - so won't need me. The 4 yr old is funded, but I don't know if the funding will be paid if he doesn't attend. The other boy is now doing 2 days instead of 3 (my suggestion, because mum was behind on payment and I didn't want it to spiral). The baby that I have 2 days isn't coming for the rest of the month either. In all honesty I don't feel I can charge under these circumstances, although I know plenty do. I will not be winning any businesswoman of the year awards, thats for sure! 😂
Washing is up to date, dinner stuff washed up, LR vac'd this morning. I plan to use this 'extra' time to catch up on paperwork, but I must be very strict on myself! I need to start running again as well!! I will see how I feel in the morning 😉
Hugs to those that need them. Night night all.9 -
A new day today, so hoping to be a bit more productive. Yesterday wasn't a disaster but it could have been better. Had a lovely long chat with OH stepmum who really appreciated the flowers, let's hope my stepmum does as things are a bit strained between us. She is absolutelly convinced we have the easy perfect life here, probably because I don't moan to her about every little thing like some folks, I'm a 'put a smile on and get on with life' sort of person. And on that thought had better put my smile on, under my mask of course, write a meal plan/shopping list and go to the supermarket. It's urgent, plenty of leftover Christmas cheese but red wine is looking critical!
Bed made, clothes picked up
Lounge straightened and tidied
See you all later, SMILING

GI sorry to hear of the lack of children, are you able to apply for UC or similar? Check your local council as they are being given Gov. money to help businesses, maybe you can get some to help you over, it is worth asking, as you never know. hugs xI'm up and dressed, eaten toast, and done the kitchen, mince out of freezer for spag bol tonight.MustPack one eby sale (not a lot but it overall it adds up.Feed the birds.Have a safe day xBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Morning all.
after a hiatus yesterday I have been in touch with my GP to check my status and the upshot is I will be in school on Fridays with KW and V children. Key stage 1. Boss doesn't know yet, he will be pleased. I will be allowed to wear a mask though, and (bonus) jeans. At heart I am a jeans and wellies no make up person. Why am I not married to a farmer?
Anyway I've done the online learning and got my certificate. Lockdown win.
went for a walk yesterday with the aim of 10 mins brisk walking. Smashed that goal and then some. Lockdown win 2.
Last night was spent uploading learning - took me ages to get the first lot sorted as I have practically forgotten how but it all clicked into place and the next two lots went up quickly and smoothly.
The aim, nationwide, is that children make progress and there will be phone calls home to make.
Anyway I have done WM x 1, DW x 1. Kitchen needs attention not least because I lifted the stick blender in the soup before releasing the button...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all
I lost yesterday to paid stuff, after a 6 hour meeting!!!! I really couldn’t be bothered with anything else. I did however do the dailies before I started.
Anyway today is a new day, there’s another long meeting this afternoon so I’ve flown a bit this morning, dishes from last night put away, a few dishes washed, laundry folded and new load set to swish, litter trays emptied, washed, and refilled. Also scrubbed the utility room sink and swished over the downstairs loo.
That might be all the flying I manage but will see how it goes...
Have a good day, hugs to those in need x10 -
Good morning!
I am up, dressed & breakfasted. Bank accounts checked. DW on.
Another child cancelled - I am now down to the 1. Kaz thanks for the concern. I haven't yet claimed the 3rd grant, so I may well do that now. That should cover me. I am in a fortunate position as DH, DS & DD2 all work, and we paid off the mortgage last year. We are not rich, by any means, but we get by and I am not increasing debts. The couple with the baby run 2 gyms, so have no income at the moment, as well as 2 children. She spent the last lockdown with a newborn and a reception child in a flat with a balcony! They recently bought a house. I can stand the loss more than they can afford to pay me! I am a bit of a softy
I need to make these extra days off count - treat them like a bonus. I need to look at the positives!
My lockdown masterplan:
Get work paperwork up to date
Keep on top of housework/shopping/cooking
Do some online courses
Declutter some areas
Deal with personal paperwork/admin - including emails, paper shredding, etc.
Get more exercise - at least 8k steps per day, and walking/running regularly - maybe even do some Joe Wicks!!
To break it down, today's must dos:
Shredding (I have run out for the composter!)
Clear the hot spot that sits next to me (magazine, work paperwork)
Clean the bathroom
Walk the dog
Sweep & mop the DR
ok - that looks like a plan! Have a good day everyone!8 -

Fridge day for me today, working out what needs using up and what's beyond redemption.

Those that ebay and post parcels the postage prices have gone up, so don't leave yourselves short when listing.!GI I am a great believer of the 'if you are entitled to it then claim it' gang. At the end of the day when you get to my age you have paid enough in taxes / NI etc etc so claim .Hoovering doneBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Kaz I agree! Up until this week I don't think I was entitled, as there was no reduction in demand. What a difference a week makes!!
I have sloshed bleach down both toilets, and opened windows upstairs to get some air circulating. Not much else - maybe I should take the dog out!9
