Morning all.
Yesterday was a bit of a rubbish day at work because of lockdown. Flying wise I did dust the living room. Today we are forecast snow. I'll see what flying I can do between shifts.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Morning all
Pouring down here but still very cold. Have done my exercise class very reluctantly, now shower and dressed and on with the paid stuff. Need to do some paperwork for my voluntary job which I had forgotten about so trying not to stress about that. DS2s bed needs stripping and bedding washing but it currently has all the Christmas decs on it ready to go in the loft so I will get DH to sort that later.
Friday at last - thank goodness.8 -
Morning everyone, very very cold here but dry and fairly clear skies, although it is forecast to cloud over for the rest of the day. Just sat in the dining room watching the sun start to come up over the roof tops, so pretty.
Bed made, clothes picked up
Both pellet stoves cleaned and on, need to go and get more pellets from garage
DD1 came home last night so I have all my lot together which makes me very happy indeed
DD1 washing on 1st load of many
OH unloaded DW
DD2 had refusals for internships and the 3rd and last one said they would let her know next week as they are seeing someone today. Hoping she will look for more places to apply to today and get some applications sent off. But she is hard to motivate!
Spending spreadsheet up to date.
Hugs all round and keep SMILING8 -
Morning all,
Soooo cold here, but as we are leaving for work/school shortly I'm resisting putting the heating on. Children at school as normal each day as I am in work. This morning I have unloaded the DW, fed everyone including the HENS 🐔🐔 which arrived earlier this week. We love them already.It's very icy out so we need to be careful. I am looking forward to getting hone, chopping wood and having an easy dinner of pizza and chips. I really need to lose the weight that has crept back on, but really CBA right now, my head isn't in the right place. Still being super frugal here, haven't spent a thing all week, will post on the frugal thread this weekend.Happy Friday all xx9 -

Dancemum I hope you find something soon. I went back to work after being a full time carer and completely changed career and it was definitely the right thing to do, I know I was lucky to find a job close to home with hours that worked for me though. Some people told me not to mention DS and his health problems when I applied but I was upfront with work from the beginning and for me it was the right thing to do. You deserve a bit of good luck.
DS has been out in the car to go to his GFs and bring in her horse while she is at work. It is pouring down here but once you get a few miles up towards the moors it is thick snow and I think he had a bit of a tricky journey, glad he is home. DH has been to the chiropractor and it seems his back can be sorted fairly easily which is a relief, he needs to get back to work.
Paid stuff finished for the week. I need to get outside this weekend, I have spent too much time cooped up inside this week. House is reasonably tidy, I have just put a load of washing over the airer. I need to do my finance spreadsheets and check my food stores.7 -
Hello everyone xx
That's me finished at the paid stuff until Tuesday 19th January. Starting my time off with a hot lemon drink as I feel like I'm getting a cold....as long as that's all it is!!! It would be just my luck to have caught covid at the vaccination hub! Hopefully not.
Plan for the week ahead includes flying, decluttering, reading and not going out.
Hugs to all

Hugs to Dancemum.
Well it is all very random and unstructured here, but in the last couple of days:
- washing up to date, including bed linen and the bathroom mats.
- on line drum lesson
- on line teaching done today; meant to be yesterday but what with all that's been going on I totally forgot; student was sweet about it.
- drawer of guarantees, batteries, phone gubbins in kitchen cleared out and old stuff ditched
- all manky flower arrangements composted. Just the front door star left, which amazingly is still ok for a couple more days so we've hung it on the inside of the front door to enjoy.
- have walked most days. Yesterday was lovely; icy but sunny.
- Mr N keeping up with various notifications, phone chats with funeral directors etc. Funeral arranged for 25th so that gives us a date to work towards. I'm doing the flowers so am planning that.
- Various amounts of hoovering, dusting and tidying done although I keep seeing bits of glitter.
- More than horrified about the Covid levels in this area so I've asked manager to discuss/think about me not doing any assessments in Jan. I don't think I will be happy doing any until Mr N has had his jab. My mum has hers next Tues.
- Mr T order done today for c & c tomorrow.
- bird feeders constantly being refilled; lots of hungry little fairies around, about 10 at a time.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
I don't have any kids or a spare bedroom so I'll use today to do the smaller jobs. My hubs has banned me from doing any housework because "I did lots last night"
Well this didn't really last long as I can't stand sitting around doing nothing.
Last night I;
* Cleaned sink & accessories
* Washed everything up last night
* S&S Bathroom
*S&S Kitchen
* cleaned out our snack & Drink cupboard...i'm so so embarrassed to admit that theyucky smell we had been smelling was coming from a bag of rotten potoatos at the back... my husband told me it was probabablly something else he'd taken out a few days before and the 'smell lingered maybe' ...
Today I ...
* Cleaned the top of the coffee table so it's all shiny again!
* Washed up after todays usage
* Vacuumed the living room
* Washed everything in the laundry bin - A RARE sight it is to have an empty washing basket!!
