Took christmas down.. STILL waiting for OH to get it back in the loft.. He is SO SLOW!!! at everything!
Kitchen is vaguely presentable.. Hazel (Batty cat) has decided the kitchen is the place to pee so lots and lots of mopping being done..And she turded on the hob.. She is not right in t'ead.
Vacuumed front room then my mother turned up so that meant the hallway didn't get done but I can get that done tomorrow.
Saturday plans..Package ebeast parcel and post all 3Redoute return of 2 coats.. I got them for OH but they sent 58/60 chest instead of 46/48.. TWICE! NVM.. £125 back in my bank then! His coat looks like he stole it off a school boy it is so small.. I will see what I can find for next winter, he is off work until April at least (works in a pub so don't expect a night out any time soon!!) he won't need one until Octoberish.Laundry shuffle.Get that hall/stairs/landing presentable.. My house is a bear pit and nowhere near recovered from christmas trashing.
Squeak and Pixie merrily plodding through schoolwork.. Dot refusing to do anything but the absolute minimum.. I'm encouraging the reading, writing and maths and ignoring the rest. Twinkle complaining she has no work but there is supposed to be some uploaded but I don't have any log indetails for hers.. I might sort that next week or just let her trot through some work books we have.. she has had wirting ones today which she loved.. they had evil stickers!
Anyway.. bed time.. Dot is asleep... I am on night shift and OH gets up at sparrow fluff o'clockLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)6 -
Morning all. WAC member here - have been up and working since 4.30, but have done some more admin, decluttered various bits from my desk and my brain, and put away the WULTD from last night as I made my second cuppa.
Hoping today to at least
- finish the remaining bits of admin: shouldn't take long (famous last words?)
- strip my bed
- WMx2
- make porridge for breakfast
- remind DH to move his box of books off the DR table
- wash and dress earlier than usual!
- take some letters and cards to the post box before it gets crowded at the shops
- move a large tub of emulsion out of the utility into the cupboard under the stairs with the other pots of paint
- dust and hoover all through the house, not forgetting to empty the kitchen bins
- clean the downstairs windows inside (the window cleaner did the outside last week)
- take down a net of outside lights which is flung across a bush - if I don't remove it now, it will be much harder when the bush grows in the spring
- take Rosie for her walk
plus also (if I still have the energy)
- finish off sanding and re-covering the little footstool that has been cluttering up the utility for months (and if not, get it done tomorrow!)
Then relax!
It's doable if I put my mind to it... Will update later.

Whatever lergie that sneeze dislodged yesterday seems to have surrendered to the hot lemon drink - and after an early night I feel chipper this morning. I'm up, my bed is made and I've supped my first brew.

I forgot to add doggie cuddles to my list which I'm doing now while having my breakfast. I've done half hour exercise and taken yesterday's laundry off the airer but haven't put it away yet. Have also done DHs dressing, all looking so much better and he managed the short walk to the local shop yesterday, first walk in nine weeks.Spend less now, work less later.8

Thats good news Jazee. Glad you are feeling brighter Round. I am being a bit lazy here, DH has gone to the optician to pick up his new glasses. I am planning some exercise but not moved far yet.
After endless rain the sun is out, but it's very cold, it's not supposed to get above freezing today. I intend to go for a walk later (on my own if necessary). I am getting tired of doing the same paths from the village but our neighbouring village has had an influx of walkers lately and I would rather not take any risks.
House is reasonably clean and tidy - except for the utility room, but I might tackle that later. Just folded some washing off the airer to go away.
Love and hugs to anyone needing it, be kind to yourselves Flyladies, I feel for anyone homeschooling especially if you are juggling work as well (or juggling multiple children like Pigpen!).8 -
Morning all
Yesterday was quite fun a the paid stuff. I'm not in again until next Friday.
planning on making marmalade if I can get some Seville oranges, that's a 2 day job anyway. I'm supposed to be meeting D (friend) fo a SD walk which might be near Mr M so can pop in.
im also thinking of glossing a couple of window sills which are currently varnished. Trying to decide whether to use paint stripper or sandpaper. Would appreciate comments or advice.

Thank you Honey Bear6 -
I know that it is afternoon, but I didn’t dare post until I had actually done something.
DD drove into work and I brought her car back. They wanted her back in today having thought that she no longer had a job. We will see how long it lasts.
Came home and I have:
descaled the coffee machine
dusted all around
run 1 load of washing
run dw (DH has just emptied it, and is making lunch. Who has stolen the real DH?)
Vacuumed most of the house
mopped kitchen and utility. Gross. It needs another go but not today.
s&s bathrooms.
Before I go back to pick up DD, I need to have a rummage in the fridge to see what can go in the oven this evening for some sort of tray bake. There was something else, but my cotton wool brain has forgotten it. **Sigh**.7 -
Before I ran out of steam, I did everything except
- dust and hoover upstairs (it was done earlier in the week, so not too bothered)
- take Rosie for her walk
- finish off sanding and re-covering the little footstool (it can wait another day)
- relax!
plus I did a couple of extra little items when I spotted them (including meal in SC for tonight + another) so not all bad.
I am going to get lunch now, then I want to take Rosie out a bit earlier than I did yesterday, so the relaxation will come afterwards.8
