Minimise - I've been through my yarn stash (again) and have put some oddments that I won't use into a bag for the CS. I did, however, keep back some white cotton yarn that I'll use to knit a couple of dishcloths. A bit of a make-do as well I suppose.
Make do - I've sorted out some sets of buttons from my (large) button stash to sew onto a couple of short sleeved cardigans that I've knitted so I don't need to buy any new ones.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
Large bag of books dropped off at the chazza shop.
Hem repaired on work trousers.
Side seam repaired on my gillet.
Washing line temporary repair. I need a new hook. Sure I have one in the garage, will have a good rummage tomorrow and hopefully find it and other useful items as well.9 -
A minimise and make do in one - I was about to add a jar of mixed herbs to my shopping list but have made up my own using the herbs I already have. Thyme, oregano, sage, parsley and basil. The only one I didn't have was marjoram but I don't think that will matter too much.
Another use-up in the pipeline is planned for some odd full balls of cotton knitting yarn. I've sorted them into blues/greens/yellows and purple/pinks/reds and am going to use them as striped bands on the bottom of sleeves and body sections of two jumpers. I'm thinking maybe a pale grey body for the blues/greens and cream or off white for the pinks/reds.Be kind to others and to yourself too.8 -

Last night I had had it and skipped my gymnastics class to do some mending!Mended:1 ripped seam in dd1's summer dress11 socks3 pairs of tights1 pair of pants1 small hole in dd2's jeans jacket. She now has a summer jacket and we won't have to buy new1 pair of pyjama pantsOut (unmendable):1 vest3 socks2 hoods (just the hoods, they were attached to jackets at some point, with buttons. The buttons had come loose, and I had planned to reattach them, but decided not to bother. Minimising
One of my 8 kitchen cupboards yesterday, Had a good sort out of ancient stuff that had been pushed to the back of the cupboard and forgotten I am 5'4' and my top cupboard often get clogged with things I shove in meaning to put away properly, then forget and stick something else in front of them and eventually stuff gets easily forgotten.I had a spar pack of cornflour ?Why I've no idea as I don't use it often and it had been at the back of the cupboard far too long and we exceedingly out of dat by several years so that was binned along with various other ancient stuff that evenI wouldn't use. Some dried herbs that were almost powderI now have one kitchen cupboard thats sprkling clean and full of stuff that will be used.I listed all thats in there and stuck the list to the inside of the door
Only another 7 cupboards to go I think perhaps the storage cupboard today full of empty storage pots ,tupperware (minus lids of course ) and lids that don't match anything elseI am hoping to move house next year so decluttering is a must at the moment
Make do
I am on holiday from next Friday so mainly eating from existing stocks Today the last HM meal from the freezer so the freezer will get defrostedat last
I am at DD for dinner tomorrow and Thursday so only really Mon,Tues, and Wed meals to fine and I have enough in the fridge and cupboards to feed myself with so No shopping foodwise, until mid July when I come home from my holiday.
I have squirrelled away enough over the past6 months to restock my freezer when I come home so will do a 'big' shop then for meat fish etc. Forward planning for the coming winter
