Yeah totally thanks mate π€AdrianC said:You do realise your "three metres" simply doesn't tally up with you hitting their door, right?
There was a car in front so they exited at a steep angle and as stated HADNT CHECKED NON EXISTENT MIRROR πππππ and obviously just glanced over shoulder and decided to go for it thinking there was enough room when there wasn't ill have to measure the length of the car thats the emerged from as could be slightly more but same goes reallyΒ
I've been driving down that road for years and all the little sprogs are all still alive I get your point completely and having had this happen now I will obviously not want it to reoccur and will adjust as such but the conditions as previously stated were bright clear and dryΒ
SUCH A SERIOUSLY SAD BUNCH BACKING UP A DRIVER DRIVING WITHOUT THE INSTRUMENTS REQUIRED TO ENSURE SAFETY WHEN MOVING OFF AND THEN DOES SO INTO MOVING TRAFFIC WITHOUT SIGNALLING πππππππππ0

Its not ridiculous at all buddy I've seen people get pulled for driving way too slowly down these parts the police assume the driver is probably !!!!!! or something especially given the time of yearΒ0

Driving the road for years, complacent, not paying attention due to familiarity and also too fast for the conditions, the parked cars on both sides.
Weather and actual state of the road surface irrelevant.
That just about sums it up.2

If you are going to adjust your driving techniques, does this mean that you have finally accepted that the way you were driving when the accident occurred wasn't suitable?Dj199781 said:I've been driving down that road for years and all the little sprogs are all still alive I get your point completely and having had this happen now I will obviously not want it to reoccur and will adjust as such but the conditions as previously stated were bright clear and dryΒ
 If not, why bother changing?2

Thatβs your excuse for not legitimately adjusting your speed? Β That hole just keeps getting bigger and bigger!Dj199781 said:Its not ridiculous at all buddy I've seen people get pulled for driving way too slowly down these parts the police assume the driver is probably !!!!!! or something especially given the time of yearΒ
I thought you might be young with little driving experience but I think youβre actually older, stubborn and stuck in your ways, stuff everyone else. Β As long as youβre alright Jack π€·ββοΈ2

Every single person that drives up the exact same road drives the same speed so at the end of the day sh*t happens
At times when children are likely to be out playing and school in/out times i completely understand to be more cautious but this wasn't the case the only hazard was this idiot driver who doesn't know how to join a road safely the car was pretty beaten up in other areas also which I noted at the time and pictured which tells me they are the one with the driving issueΒ
They were alot younger than myself and this is the only incident I've had and the only damage that has ever occurred to my carΒ
So thanks for your advice and opinions but given the facts I'm confident my driving had zero contribution to the incident
I appreciate the views on how the insurance will deal with it and have stated too many times that in the absence of dashcam evidence ill have to accept it this time and install one incase of any future situationsΒ
What I dont expect is the irrelevant bashing and suggest you get a life and live it as if you were in the car or driving it you'd only agreeΒ
I won't be commenting any further so any further comments are futile and will only further prove my case you have nothing better to doΒ
 CharsΒ
 Bye π π πΒ2

            Goodbye @Dj199781
Drive a bit more carefully and considerately in future, you obviously cannot ACCEPT any sort of criticism and your arrogance is quite astounding.3

Be careful what you wish for. Dashcam evidence might have reinforced the view that excessive speed was a contributory factor.Dj199781 said:So thanks for your advice and opinions but given the facts I'm confident my driving had zero contribution to the incident

Watch any one of the hundreds of YouChoob dashcam compilations, and you can't help but wince as people like the OP just manufacture situations for themselves.Car_54 said:
