I'm not sure how this particular outfit got hold of my data, unless they used Wings appeal data where I appealed as the keeper to send this out, as technically Wing should not have access to DLVA data anymore.
If you've appealed to Wing, giving your address details, then that's the source.  Nothing clandestine.

Oops! So I dug my own grave! Surely they still can't legally do anything as they don't legally know who the registered keeper is?

What did you say in the appeal?  You'd either appeal it as 'the driver', or as 'the registered keeper' ...... how did you cover that?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I see that ZZPS have included an unlawful administration fee of £70.  They keep trying.despite VCS V  Wilkinson

At the Bradford County Court, District Judge Claire Jackson (now HHJ Jackson, a Specialist Civil Circuit Judge) decided to hear a 'test case' a few months ago, where £60 had been added to a parking charge despite Judges up and down the country repeatedly disallowing that sum and warning parking firms not to waste court time with such spurious claims.   That case was Excel v Wilkinson: G4QZ465V, heard in July 2020 and leave to appeal was refused and that route was not pursued.  The Judge concluded that such claims are proceedings with 'an improper collateral purpose'.   This Judge - and others who have since copied her words and struck dozens of cases out in late 2020 and into 2021 - went into significant detail and concluded that parking operators (such as this Claimant) are seeking to circumvent CPR 27.14 as well as breaching the Consumer Rights Act 2015.   DJ Hickinbottom has recently struck more cases out in that court area, stating: ''I find that striking out this claim is the only appropriate manner in which the disapproval of the court can be shown''.

Didn't take long to move to the solicitor stage. QDR Solicitors in this case. How longe before they either give up or send a letter before claim?

That's a debt collector letter. The clue is that they say they have been instructed by ZZPS, who are powerless debt collectors.

    A nothing letter.

More interestingly, how did you get on with your Freedom of Information request to Islington?

I'm yet to receive a reply. Not sure what the SLA for response is but I'd imagine weeks at least?

Keep that letter because it is pretty aggressive and makes out that they can just 'obtain' a CCJ and then the sky will fall in.  It fails to state that none of that happens if you defend a claim (not even if you lose and then pay).  That letter and the other ZZPS ones will be useful as evidence for your WS for a Judge to see.

I would copy that letter to the SRA

    https://www.sra.org.uk/

and your MP complaining that it is misleading and threatening and couched in a manner likely to bring their profession into disrepute.  I  am sure that these low rent law firms are an embarassment.

The FoI letter arrived today. The response, rather surprisingly is:
The council is not responsible for obtaining DVLA data on behalf of Wing Parking.
