Thank you for confirming, and for the warning about the emergency tax deduction

Similar type of question is asked regularly on the pensions forum, also about how to claim any excess tax back and other related drawdown issues.

You will have to take the tax free part first, and once it has all gone through, then request the taxable amount.
Important to note that once you take any taxable income, you are restricted in future to adding a max £10K a year to a pension. That includes your contributions, tax relief and employers contribution.

Thank you - I was fairly sure my basic understanding was right, just needed to double check

Oh it's already been moved from the dining room to our bedroom. They are both internal walls - in fact most of our clocks ARE on internal walls! This morning I stuck the battery in with plasters because it seemed to be 'bouncing' out a bit. I think that's helped but it will probably go doolally again overnight.

it isn't really anywhere near a printer, a mains adapter, or LED lighting. And other clocks on those walls have been fine. But this is a particularly clear clock, which is what I need in the bedroom (when I'm half-asleep).

So far so good with the sticking plasters …

Did you get your Amazon voucher via Voucher sent? Looks like a scam to me so wary of opening it...but if you've done it successfully I'll know not to be so suspicious! Thanks
