Didn't delete mine, and have now spent 1/3 of it … I hasten to add on things I was going to get anyway!

And now one of our clocks is on the blink - it's one of those which is supposed to get the time from a satellite, but now it just zooms round and round and round and round and round … and it sounds like a rapidly dripping tap, or rainwater drumming on a conservatory room!

Typical isn't it. You get some extra money and something breaks!
I've had my retirement confirmed today. Doing 3 days a fortnight, nearly all A level.
Happy with that. I'll be earning about £15k on top of my pensions, which will be about £23k. Because of deductions this will be very similar to my pensions at 67, so a trial run!
Must stop counting down the days though!!!

Counting the days? I managed not to write the countdown on my calendar at work, but they were certainly all accounted for on my calendar at home. 🤣
still wondering how I ever found time to work …

I've had similar, try and put clock somewhere else and see if it gets a signal there. I have to put one of mine in the window sometimes when it gets the wobbles

The signal actually comes from a transmission tower in a place called Anthorn in Cumbria. Its a 60kHz radio signal that has very stable propagation characteristic over the surface of the Earth. However, 60kHz may suffer interference from things like mains adapters, printers etc. Also, LED lighting can cause problems in some cases.

I got the email and have claimed my voucher. Mentioned it to Mrs WY and she had forgotten about the deal as it's been a while and had just assumed the email she got was spam.
All sorted but thanks for the reminder.

Hello all
Sorry for what may be a stupid question, but my brain is a bit scrambled atm and I need to check my understanding on something please (I've tried Google but I just need a simple answer)
If I was to withdraw, from a small SIPP, an amount greater than 25% of the total value but less than my personal tax allowance, and that was my only income in that financial year, am I right in thinking that there wouldn't be any income tax due?
ThanksEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0 -
Yes, although you may incur an emergency tax being applied on the bit above the 25%, as HMRC will assume the withdrawal is a regular payment, and not a one-off.
You can reclaim this tax back
