Cats are funny creatures aren’t they. Do you think Pepper tags along with you to be curious & see what is going on or do you think it is to keep an eye out for you when you are outside your normal area? I think in their own little way cats are quite protective of their humans. Our cat hardly ever goes outside but if my OH is gardening, the cat will scrabble her way up on top of the big greenhouse and sit up there, sometimes for hours at a time, because it gives her a vantage point to scan for any threats, I’m convinced of it, it really is the only time she ever goes up there! Likewise if I am in the garage working on something and it gets dark, I’ll come out and the poor cat will be sat there in the dark outside the garage door waiting for me, then she will ‘shepherd’ me down the path back into the house. Anyway sorry, rambling again!

Season_of_Mist - I think he is definitely curious - he will only go so far along the path on his own (we can see him from the house) but as soon as we go he will follow as far as we go. I do think female cats are more protective of their humans - one we had many years ago would come over and paw at you if you laid on the floor and made a groaning noise - I am sure she was checking to see if we were hurt. Yours sounds like she is looking after you 😻

11/26 - not gonna lie got a bit of a craving for a drink tonight first time in a while. Possibly anticipating a drink Sunday idk, told wife to not let me have one lol. Worked, not even bothered now.

@sukeyboo haha makes more sense now. Not gonna lie I’m always a bit wary of cats, not sure why just don’t seem trustworthy ha.

12/28 AFD for me today, Valentines will be half way! Yippee!

 I've given myself St Patrick's Day for my next planned drink but it's lock down, bars likely closed, no mixing households and if I'm honest.... already dreading the hangover  ha!

Morning all, it's 12/21 for me today I was thinking I would have a couple of non-AFDs this month and had in mind this weekend for one of them but I'm working on Sunday so that makes it a bit of a waste really b/c Saturday isn't really that relaxing when I know I've got to work the next day. Maybe the end of the month? ...

Well cathybird, I was delighted to learn that Saturday 27 February is International Polar Bear Day, maybe that might be an option? 😂.
