It's good to hear that you're feeling better, LL
You must let us know when you have the business up and running as I'm sure I'm not the only one here who'd like to take a look at your wares!
Great news about your shares too!
Sugarbaby, you've excelled yourself on the shopping front again
After lots of warm sunshine here yesterday - I even managed to briefly sit outside with a glass of wine between bursts of decorating/baking- it's back to grim weather today, extremely windy and overcast although the rain has so far stayed away.......

No champagne moments here today I've been wanting to tackle an overstuffed cupboard forgot how my joints are painful and strength reduced from being stuck in so long. Now I have stuff everywhere and am struggling as how to organise what's going back in due to lack of shelves and less energy than when I started.I haven't posted for a long time, nothing much to say and now I've just put on a moaning poor me post.I somehow lost the beginning of this post where I was saying I always read a long and sometime forget to press thanks but I always enjoy and appreciate your posts.Glad you are feeling bette LL.Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

Felt so ill I thought it prudent to do A covid test. It has come back negative. Wahoo. Now that is a champagne moment.💃🥂
needmoney.......don't worry we all feel a bit "woe is me" at times. We are only human. And even an eternal optimist like me has my little Downers from time to time.I think a lot of us are struggling with this third lockdown, probably more so than the other two. Maybe because it has coincided with winter but I know people have been finding it difficult to stay motivated at times. A lot of us have lost our mojo. 😉.Keep reading, keep posting, drop by for a chat and a virtual cuppa or maybe 🥂.The worst is over. Spring is on its way. 🌞💐10 -
Thank you Phoebe and Joedenise
am researching this 'unknown to me' brand. But it's just like my Miele hoover given to me by someone. Best hoover I have ever had. And still have.
Love to all

I've only just caught up after not being on the old-style section for a while. I'm glad people are enjoying champagne moments despite the global situation.
I just went for a 45 minute walk. It is lovely and mild and feeling a lot like Spring.5 -
For savingmore ! It's here! Bump!! 😊Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.4

Thank you, Wort.Good morning my lovely friends.Yes it's a little quiet on here isn't it. I am afraid I havent much to report either. I think we are all starting to suffer a little from Lockdown Fatigue. And so often it does feel like Groundhog Day. The same old routines. And for myself I really haven't been at all well this last couple of weeks, so I have barely bothered to set foot out of the door. I don't know whether my illness was a reaction to the vaccine or whether it was just a coincidence but I ended up with some really awful lurgy. I am still not 100% and I still feel pretty wiped out but thankfully I think it's going now and I'm finally started to feel better.
I am counting my blessings. Whilst this last year has been truly awful I realise that I have been extremely fortunate. I have managed to avoid covid, as have my family, friends and loved ones. My family have held on to their jobs. We have all been spared the worst effects. I have now had my first dose of vaccine. Spring is coming and hopefully we will all be able to start living our lives again.So........champagne moments have been few and far between. And none of them particularly exciting, 😁. I have managed to get in the garden a couple of times. And that's about it. The weather looks nice for the next few days, currently lovely bright sunshine streaming through the window although there's quite a good frost yet. But seeing the sun is lovely, it does lift my mood.Whilst I wouldn't consider myself as clinically depressed I have been a little low, probably due to feeling so rotten whilst I have been ill but also maybe a touch of "Covid Blues". I'm guessing a year of living like a hermit will do that to even the most ebullient optimist,
However, I do feel we are on the final furlong at last. It's nearly over, summer is beckoning and very soon now we can start living again. Just need to be patient for a little while longer. One thing that lockdown has taught me is that I want and need to make some life changes, not quite sure how I'm going to do it yet. I have a few ideas buzzing round but I'm not going to rush into anything. It's all a work in progress. 😂Take care y'all. Stay, safe, well and happy. And keep searching for those champagne moments.❤️14 -
My Champagne moments on Wednesday were my younger son coming with his laundry and staying for a visit.
I got a cold weather payment of from DWP
My Champagne moment yesterday was speaking to my older son on the phoneIt is not easy to find the right time to call him, as he works as a delivery driver for one of the pizza companies. He is thankful that he has had employment throughout the pandemic

Morning all!
sorry I haven’t posted for so long...I don’t think I’ve even posted on this thread yet! I believe my last post was just after I moved in December...
Truth be told there has been so much going on, and I’ve felt exhausted by it all. Work has been very busy, but in the main it’s the house that’s kept me occupied. Lots has been done so far - I had three new windows fitted, a new oven, the kitchen wall knocked down, an airing cupboard dismantled and a new shed delivered. My son has started decorating his room too and has been doing it for weeks....
I knew the house needed some love but had loads of potential, but I’m only realising now just how much love it needs! The electrician was here on weds and the big news is that the house needs rewiring (although I think the kitchen is ok as it looks like the wiring was done with the extension 15 years ago). So that’s going to be costly. I had just started to think about having a new kitchen when the wall was knocked down as it has really opened up the space to the living room, and now I’m not sure - I’m going to cost up a new one against maybe having new doors, or new finishes put in the old one. I’m edging towards a new kitchen tbh because this one is 15/16 years old, and with a new floor and worktops being needed anyway it seems like a false economy not to put a new one in. But I’ll have to see how the budget looks. The upstairs bedrooms need replastering, so that fits in with the rewire anyway - and we will move out for the duration. My son will stay at his dads and me at my friends. We will have the lateral flow tests beforehand to make sure and then will bubble separately. But hopefully I will have had my first jab by then! It’s great to see you are all still posting, and especially good to see sugarbaby back
LL I’m excited for your new venture! Sugarbaby you are such a savvy shopper! And Phoebe I am in awe of the amount of work that you get through!I have found a couple of moneysaving apps recently - there’s one called Olio where you can post unwanted stuff - including food. And another called TooGoodToGo where food shops and restaurants post food that’s just about to go out of date for knockdown prices.Right, better get up and about - the blinds in my bedroom are currently very thin and so the light wakes me up early - but isn’t it wonderful having this sunny weather?
Oh, and this weekend a year ago I was setting off on my adventure of a lifetime to the Alt summit in Palm Springs! It really feels like a lifetime ago.....9 -
