Happy New Year Everyone 🥂💃.  

How exciting - a brand new year, so I thought we'd have a brand new shiney thread to celebrate.   

Hope you all had a lovely NYE and that you will celebrate today too. Even if those celebrations are muted. I had a quiet evening, recovering from my dental trauma earlier in the day.  Joined my son and DIL for a game of virtual "Pointless".   My son and I often watch the programme together and he keeps threatening to apply to go on as a Contestant, with me as his partner.  Lol.  I beat him of course......😂. Nice champagne moment......not that I'm competitive. 😂🤣. 

I shall be spending the day quietly but again I don't mind. I shall indulge myself in a bit of pampering this Morning.  If I can't go to a spa for a new year break like the rich and famous do then I will create a mini spa experience here..... starting the year as I mean to go on.......a little bit of free/low cost luxury.....so today some pampering  and a nice meal.

Happy New Year LL. Yes, we have to make the most until things improve. I too had a quiet one at home. I think that the TV's been disappointing. I've started to watch Ann with an E on netflix, that will keep me going for a bit!

Have woken up to thick snow,  so will now be staying put, as I I daren't risk falling over.I'm bad enough when the weather's normal 🤣
Are you snowed in SHEILA? My friend's from your area, n it's usually snowier than here .
Think I might have a pamper day too LL, then will attempt to watch Bridgerton again.I couldn't get into it last night 🤔

I can't believe how cold it was yesterday. I got into bed to watch the NYE "party" and had the heater on and I also slept in my jumper. We didn't get any snow, luckily.

Candy.......Just finished watching Bridgerton.  Absolute tosh but hilarious.   Warning it's not Jane Austen more like Game of Thrones......loads of gratuitous sex and naked men.😂🤣

Also watched the new documentary about the Minimalists.  Did I mention I was going to embark on a major declutter this year.  I made a start a few years ago and each year I have tried to get rid of more but I still have far too much stuff.  

I don't want to a true minimalist, all bare spaces and hard edges, it would be too brutal for me.  but I could probably lose at least 30% of my possessions, maybe more and not even miss them.  

That's partly the reason for starting my vintage clothing business  - I don't actually need to buy stock yet. All I need to do is make a start on my wardrobes.  😁. 

Wednesday it's still pretty cold here too.   It snowed a few days ago and it hasn't fully cleared yet, so it's not melting.  

Dont want to wish my life away but I'll be glad when it's spring.

Happy New Year!

A very peaceful day here with a lovely if rather cold, icy-underfoot dog walk at the atmospheric Gelli Aur 😊

Spent some time in the garden, tidying too as it's been very sunny after our pitiful snowfall yesterday. The nearby Brecon Beacons are topped with the white stuff, but being in a valley we very much have our own microclimate....

No room for minimalists here, lol....just fully fledged maximalists 😉

We do have a ton of vintage clothing needing to be offloaded though....if only you were closer, LL......

Just roasting the gammon originally intended for lunch time. Will be naughty tonight and have supper in the snug, watching a dvd (no Netflix here) with a few glasses of wine.

Tomorrow it's back to normal, as we need to crack on with finishing the upstairs hallway wall-building.
