alas you are right, it doesn't get any easier......it's with us always.  The wound never really heals.  

They leave a huge hole in our lives and we just have to learn to live with it.  Work round it and do our best to build a new life.

Everything in life has its price, and grief and loss is the price we pay for having loved.  Joy and sorrow are both part of life's rich tapestry.  

I wouldn't have it any other way though.  I am grateful for the 34 glorious years we were together.  

Just about to have dinner and settle down for the evening.

I'm ok, hun.  I just ride out the bad days.  I hunker down and watch some nice movies.  I have been listening to some podcasts too, keeping myself motivated. 

the Miracle Mornings thing is really working.  I am exercising every day.  So unlike me......  😂 I am actually learning to enjoy it. Lol.

Higher Trapp .I'm ok with afternoon tea, but because it's winter,  I bet people will be cold n starving!

 Yesterday was a day filled with endless Champagne moments.   

I had a really lovely day yesterday celebrating my son's 21st birthday. He wanted to go to the local eat as much as you like Chinese buffet restaurant. We went for lunch time and it was quiet, which is not usual but was very welcome. You had to santise your hands on arrival and keep your mask on apart from when you were eating and drinking. Even before this pandemic, I always carried a handbag size sanitiser and a small packet of wipes in my handbag, so we used my hand sanisier and wipes throughout the meal just for our own peace of mind.   

My son enjoyed opening his cards and presents. He got some money as well.    A lot of my family are waiting for his party to happen and then they will give him his presents and more money, but he was really happy with what he received, especially the gold plated watch I got him.    

My niece who makes cakes professionally, made him a cake as her present to him. It looked amazing and tasted delicious.   It was far too big for 3 of us, so I am taking most of it to give away to others who will appreciate it, when I go to Blackfriars Settlement this afternoon. 

I am looking forward to my Music Appreciation session today.
