Candy girl I hope you start feeling a lot more like yourself soon
LL I am sure that you will eventually lose the weight now that you are back on track with your healthy eating and exercises.
I have put back on the stone in weight that I had lost last year with so much effort.I got too comfortable in the colder months but I am back on track at last. I am eating healthier and cutting back on snacks. I am exercising daily even though it is a struggle to do some of the exercises but I know it will all be worth it. I am determined to get really toned up and become more flexible and have stronger muscles.

Positive thought for today:
Your problems will not be solved by complaining, but by doing something to solve them (Katie Piper)6 -
I feel completely fine after my jab. I took paracetamol yesterday and again just now but my arm doesn't even hurt or anything. The Covid jab didn't hurt at all when I had it either. Strange as my husband said his arm was killing him the next day. I was really dreading a bad reaction but it looks like I was lucky.
I am back on healthy eating too. I was saying that I lost a stone and a half since lockdown last March and then have gained a stone back over the winter! The blood test didn't flag up any more problems with my thyroid so I can't even blame that for my weight gain! Lol.
I am having a sandwich with salad for breakfast and a cup of green tea with lemon.
I am going to make jackfruit tacos later as I have a tin of jackfruit in the cupboard as well as lettuce and salsa to use up so I thought that would be a nice healthy meal. I haven't tried it before but I keep seeing other people online make it. I have some rice salad leftover that can go in there too. I need to go out and get some tortilla wraps. I'm about to have a bath and get dressed. It feels very mild again today.

Beautiful flowers, sugarbaby 😊
Best champagne moment here - yesterday we finally got our new washing machine installed!
That doesn't sound like a big deal, but after more than three years of having to traipse outside to a draughty outbuilding that's open to the elements one side every time washing needs doing, having the machine indoors feels immense to me, lol!
Also, my stunning encaustic tile sample from Ca' Pietra (for the entrance lobby) arrived this morning. If we decide to go for them it'll be a(nother) splurge, but as it's going to be the first thing you see when entering the front door - plus we don't need too many square metres - I think it will be worth it 😉
Less champagne-y was the discovery of two leaks - from a cracked pipe (plastic 🙄) and a loose joint behind the kitchen butler sink unit/integrated dishwasher whilst the fitting of the washing machine lifting station was in the process....grrrr!
Fortunately both DH and our plumber were on hand to sort it, but because our cabinets are of the rigid, timber built-in/all joined together variety, it wasn't as simple as just pulling the offending units out ☹️
Anyway, better to have discovered this now than to have let it go unnoticed till the water seeped out onto my nearby Liberty rug!!!
Feels as though we're not having much luck at the moment, what with the appearance of a 1m deep x 60cm diameter hole in the lane opposite the cottage the other day ☹️
Highways came out promptly to fill it, but within 48 hours it had begun to subside again! Yesterday they topped it up with more tarmac but it's already going again. If I disappear from the thread it might be because I've been swallowed up by a giant sinkhole, lol 😂
Anyway, it's warm(er) and sunnyish today so making the most of it by spending some time outdoors doing a few chores such as filling/replacing bird feeders etc and might do a bit of planting later.....Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

Remind yourself every day that you are mentally strong, physically strong and spiritually strong. You have the strength and power to make every choice a good one (Katie Piper)6 -
Phoebe, having your new washing machine actually plumbed in sounds like a very big deal. You must be so pleased, especially as it highlighted the 2 leaks which were repaired before they had caused untold damage while they were not visible.
Thanks, I am still enjoying my flowers
I took a trip to a local M & S yesterday to buy some culinary treats from the M & S gift card my elder daughter and son-in-law gave to me for Mother's Day. I will enjoy some real quality food over the next 3 days.6 -
I'm still feeling perfectly fine from the Covid jab which is great.
I hope the second one is as easy.
I just had a lie-in today as my husband was on nights last night. I made a healthy lunch for later and took a hot shower and then did my nails. It's a nice colour I bought a few weeks ago. Like a dark pink shade. I'm waiting for the rain to let up so I can go for a walk.
I'm about to look on the George website for a few Spring things. I feel like I am wearing the same clothes over and over (which I am) because of lockdown and the chazzers being closed.2025 GOALS

It really is, sugarbaby 😁 Sounds like you'll be enjoying some delicious meals over the coming days! I love a trip to an M&S foodhall, but haven't been to one for ages because our nearest ones are not *local* enough 🙄 Missing Waitrose too as our closest branch is an hour away......
Wednesday, pleased to hear you haven't suffered any ill-effects of the jab!
Gorgeous, sunny, spring-like weather today, so I managed to get one rose bed topped up with alliums before my back started aching. They look much better now they're out of the pots and into the ground. Only three more beds to go, lol!
The resident tractor has been up and down the lane a few times, cracking the surface of the tarmac around the *sinkhole* a little more. I give it another week before Highways are back again....
Just had a late lunch on the terrace, bathed in very warm sunshine, watching the rather plump birds feasting whilst the dogs dare each other to sneak beneath the feeders and snatch the crumbs of nuts, seeds and mealworms away 😉
Off to do some painting in a while....if my back can cope with the ladder!
Have a pleasant afternoon everyone 😎Mortgage-free for fourteen years!
