been reading along. My champagne moment was a spa evening. 6 including me did an early evening meal, evening spa, drinks and stay in the posh hotel on site. it was all so lovely, gorgeous breakfast this morning thats set me up for the day. What I needed I think. on series 5 of Poldark, episode 5 i think, really enjoyed it, never seen it before. I think that I am enjoying these period dramas.

My Champagne moments today:
I went to watch the film Living this afternoon at Ritzy cinema. It is a gentle, human film. I enjoyed it, as it was great escapism from the cold, rainy day. I swapped £2.50 of Tesco Clubcard vouchers for a £7.50 Picturehouse voucher. For me this film was a 7.5/10.
I have just received my £324 cost of living payment from the DWP.5 -
My Champagne moments yesterday:
In the afternoon, I went to watch Where the Crawdads Sing at Streatham Odeon. I had a silver screen ticket which only cost me £3.50. I got a free cup of tea worth £2.50. This film reminded me a lot of To Kill a Mockingbird, as it has court room action with a crusading lawyer with a defendant who does not make it easy to defend her. Where the Crawdads Sing is not about racism, but about prejudice and bias. I really cared about what was happening with the characters in the film, especially the leading lady. There are some really great twists and turns as the story unfolds. I loved this film. For me it was a 10/10.
In the evening I went to the Golden Goose Theatre to watch the play Dinner with Friends. It is a play about 2 couples who are best friends. The play explores all of the complex relationships that ensue as a result of one of the couples divorcing. I really enjoyed this play, for me it was a 9/10.I got a £15 ticket for only £4.

Hello My Lovely Friends.Sorry I have been awol but life has had it's fair share of trials and tribulations of late. Champagne moments have been a bit thin on the ground, although of course very welcome, perhaps because of their relative scarcity. Mainly lunches with friends, family the odd concert, a few chazza shop bargains. Nothing earth shattering....
However.......I think that's all about to change...I think I've reached a turning point. 🤞Finally.......it looks like we are on track to legally complete end of November. Dare I hope that this is it. Is it really about to happen. It's been such a long time coming, I am scared to jinx it all. I have booked a viewing for a rental property in Monday. It's just a waiting game......gahhhh. Can my nerves take much more. 😱😂. Just need to metaphorically hold my breath for a few more days.Anyway. Think of me and wish me luck......I'll report back soonest.I am reading along and am pleased you are all happy and doing so well. Sounds like you are all having some lovely moments and adventures.
it will be my turn soon.😉7 -

liberty_lily said:Fab pic of you on stage at Brixton library, Sugarbaby 😁 and super coastal pics, Wednesday...stunning sky too 😄
My champagne moment today is that we got the windows done....hurrah 😁😆😁 Imho, my DH is a superhero - I'm so very proud of him and his herculean efforts 😍🤩🥰 I laboured for him all day yesterday and am absolutely exhausted today...goodness knows how he must be feeling!
There's a few tiny bits to finish (such as the internal beading, top and bottom) and of course we need to add the external oak cladding above the windows plus complete the stonework either side....not to mention all the work to get done inside, but he was able to leave here for Brighton as planned at 2pm today....
We're thrilled! All our own work and just over £2k......5 -
Helen great news about your house move. Completion is finally in sight.
My Champagne moments yesterday:
I went to the Golden Goose Theatre to watch the play Days in Quarantine in the evening. It was a play about living with the rules of lockdown. It was an episodic play with young male and female actors. They were so true to life with their stories of trying to cope with all of the rules, isolation and not being able to go to a family funeral and having to grieve all on your own. The performances were so mesmerising, insightful and powerful. This play was a 9.5/10 for me.
My champagne moment today:
I got my 2nd Energy Support Scheme voucher for £66 today.5 -

My Champagne moments on Thursday and Friday:
On Thursday I watched the play 3 Sisters by Inua Ellamo which is based on the Chekhov play. It was a really interesting play, which is just under 3 hours long.I have so many plays on my watch list to enjoy in the weeks and months until March 2023 when my free membership will end.
Yesterday afternoon, my son and I went to Ritzy cinema to watch Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. We both really loved this film, it has really good storylines as well as lots of action. For me this film is a 9.5/10.My ticket was £12.80 plus a 70p booking fee. I used my Tesco Clubcard vouchers to buy a £13.50 Picturehouse voucher, which I used to pay for my ticket for this film. I got my son's ticket which was worth £13.80 with my CEA card.
