I went to watch the film The Woman King last night at the Ritzy cinema. I absolutely loved this action-packed film, especially because it is full of very strong female characters. There were about 50 of us in the audience and at the end of the film there was loud clapping and whoops of delight. For me this film is a 10/10
I have finished writing the 1st draft of my 1st play
Good luck with the play!2 -
Thanks Wednesday2

My other Champagne moment today:
I saw the actress Lorraine Chase again in Camberwell Green. This time she was right next to me, so I said, 'hello Lorraine' as casual as you like, and Lorraine said to me 'Hello gorgeous, how you doing?' and I just replied 'fine'. As I walked away, I was thinking 'Lorraine Chase called me gorgeous', it felt a bit surreal, but she is a typical cockney and it is just the way she speaks. She was dressed really well in classic, well cut clothing. I presume that she now lives in the Camberwell area, as I have seen her before in Camberwell.5 -
I had a lovely walk yesterday to Chalkwell beach with my husband and dog. It was like summer even though it was October! I felt a lot better after feeling unwell most of the week so it was nice to have a relaxing day.:) I thought I would take advantage of a sunny weekend as we might not have very many of them left this year.2025 GOALS

My Champagne moment on Saturday:
I went to Riverside Studios Theatre to watch the play Glitterball in the afternoon. The play was a great mixture of music: Shirley Bassey numbers and bhangra music and drama. For me this play was a 9/105 -
Glad you're feeling better now, Wednesday 😊
We also had a lovely autumnal walk the other day (well, evening actually as we didn't set out till just after 5pm). It was very peaceful at the local country park at that time of day, as no-one else was about except the cafe staff. Our dogs thoroughly enjoyed themselves although the clumsiest had to tread in a horrid, runny poop as we were headed back to the landy 🙄💩 so she required cleaning off with numerous wet wipes before DH would let her in, lol!
Today's champagne moment - our Christmas present to ourselves (a rather fab Matthew Williamson mirror) was delivered earlier. It's great quality and I love it - especially as it had a £60 reduction plus free delivery 😀😍 We've agreed to put it away till Christmas - which is good as the wall it's intended for is yet to be plastered 😉😆
It's another sunny day - but noticeably chillier - so I'm going to make the most of it and sit outside in the covered area of the courtyard this afternoon with a blanket and my book 😁5 -
And another beautiful day here. I love these mild autumn days. Love the trees and the soft gentle warmth of the sun. Im just back from the dentist.....first part of my root canal. Feeling a bit woe is me. Lol. But in general I am happy. The house move seems to be still on track. 🤞.My champagne moments have been mainly spent with my grandchildren. They give me so much joy even if they do wear me out. They call me "Babon" (it's distortion of my real name which they cant pronounce). It's lovely to hear it though. The little one had the class teddy over the weekend, his homework was to take teddy out and about and take photos of their adventures. Poor teddy. He had rather a rough time of it on the park - being repeatedly thrown off the slide. 😂🤣.Lily.....you are doing so well with the house, good that the weather is on your side. And SUgarbaby.!!!!! Get you, the playwright. Well done. All I can say is WOW. And reserve me a front row ticket......😉7

Ooops posted too soon.Wednesday.....I so envy you your beach walks. I would love to move back to the coast but it would mean such an upheaval to leave my sons here. So I'll stay here and make do with the Peak District. I keep looking on Rightmove and am so tempted to move to one of the villages in the peak national park but again it's a bit too far for regular contact with my boys.Right better get organised. I was too nervous about the dentist to eat much and now I'm starving....6

Helen, well done with facing up to getting your root canal work started! You're heading in the right direction now 😁
It's another glorious day here too and tbh I wish DH was at home cracking on with our work but instead he's out doing someone else's 🙄 but it's a lucrative little job he's just begun working on so makes sense, especially as he needs the good weather for that one too!
My champagne moment today was getting started on the laundry cupboard splashback at last. I decided to utilise a (free) sample of fairly expensive wallpaper (£160 per roll!) that I'd requested a few months back. It was just the right size and the colours work well! I'm really pleased with it 😄 Stuck it onto the wall with 'paste the wall' wallpaper paste and all it needs now is a piece of tempered glass over the top...4
