Old Style Weight Loss 2021 - Quarter 1

SandyShores said:Finally, have managed to report a loss. Scales say 12 stone 9lb today, which means I can report a loss of 2.5 lbs since last weighing and a total loss over the quarter of 1.5lbs
I say total but its been a grim month of desperately trying not to put weight on, putting weight on and struggling to lose it. I'm hoping that now spring is here it will be easier. I'm not exactly sure why, but I don't reach for the carbs (and the biscuit tin) quite so much in the brighter weather.
Still, nice to finish the quarter on a positive noteIsa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

LittleVoice said:After keeping my daily calorie intake below 2000 (1755 on average), I have lost 1 lb. BMI also goes down 0.1.
So I hope I can get back to my 1 January starting weight by the month end.
Looks less likely that I will lose all the other 2 lb by 31 March but it helps knowing I should report to you all how things are going.
Last week a friend gave me a "thank you" of a box of M&S Belgian chocolates. She doesn't know I'm trying to lose a few pounds so is forgiven for tempting me. Although he doesn't know that intention another friend gives me flowers every week - which are lovely and generally inedible.8 -

Morning All
reporting a loss of -2lb this week, I've been up and down all quarter but I like the comment I think by ditty saying it's good to think about the lbs we didn't put on ❤️Had my jab on Thursday, apart from soreness at the puncture site, no effects so far, I feel perfectly fine, walked to the the clinic and back ( was a gorgeous spring day) about 3 miles, then did another walk yesterday whilst the car was in for her mot (admittedly it was to buy some of those m$s marmite hot cross buns to try 😮) which was about 4 miles, the sunny weather is definitely making me want to get out more and walk 😎

Morning all.
Sirens, marmite hot cross buns sound horrid. I love Marmite and I more than love hot cross buns, but I don't think I would enjoy them together. Do let us know what you think of them.
Well. Hang the flags out. I can report a loss of 1lb! It has been long enough coming, but I have stuck to what I have been doing (and enjoying) and am really pleased to have lost 6lbs over the course of this challenge. It is going to be slow going from now on as I am now tackling fat that has been part of me for well over 40 years. It is not going to give up without a fight. Still, slowly, slowly catchee monkey, as my Dad used to say.I believe that friends are quiet angels

I too am a great lover of marmite so enjoyed them but would not buy them again, glad I have my stock of regular hot cross buns in the freezer 😂'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess
