Sorry to hear you're still under the weather LL. You do sound a little perkier than yesterday so hope you're on the mend😊. I must look up those humidifiers. I suffer hugely with the air conditioning at night when we're in Turkey. I'm still suffering with my sinuses. I'm wondering if it's the central heating. It's much worse first thing in the morning.
I'd never heard of Beleek vases Mrs Porridge so I just googled them. Do take a photo when your daffs have opened. I called round to see DD1 earlier. She's always bringing me flowers so I took some to her for a change. It was good to have chat on her doorstep, socially distanced but probably illegal. 😉
I love my serum MrsWednesday. Clarins is my favourite. It's pricey but I love it. Glad to hear your skin has settled down. I'm never sure which of my products does me most good but I think just the act of caring for ourselves is worth it. I use serum, moisturiser and eye cream every day.
I finished off some body lotion earlier after my shower. Next I'm going to use up a tube of Clarins body lotion that came 'free' with a gift set.
Thanks to sugarbaby, we're having stir fry for dinner tonight.😋8 -
We're having fish and chips for dinner, waiting for the delivery now. Just couldn't face cooking a meal and with GS and DH it all too often ends up with them not wanting the same meal so I either do two meals or a slight variation for one of them. I do sympathise as food seems to be all we have to look forward to at the moment and to be fair I don't have much else to do. DH can't cook due to his disability, but GS does occasionally make a chilli or something. Anyway fish and chips tonight and I don't think we've had them in six months so looking forward to them.9

@thepurplepixie I think it's a familiar thing... I've started proper-cooking for myself on a Tuesday & Friday then I have leftovers on Wednesday (when I'm in the office) and Saturday. That to me is recipe cooking - Tuesday was an old family dish of belly pork slowly cooked in tomato soup with sage (served with pasta or mash) and last night it was Rick Stein's seafood gratin with caremelised apples, from Secret France, and it was delicious.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hope you enjoyed your meal last night floss. I've just watched Rick Stein's Secret France again. I love his mix of travel and cookery programmes.
I'm thinking of having a fish supper for my birthday meal next month pixie. The trouble is that I haven't had fish and chips for so long that I don't know the best chippies locally.🤔

Hello Ladies,
I made chili with basmati rice for dinner yesterday and we had the leftovers for dinner this evening. It had even more flavour and heat this evening

It is very good news about all adults being offered the vaccine before the end of July.
I was thinking about getting a necklace (or two) from Ruby & Oscar for my 45th birthday next month. My birthstones are aquamarine and bloodstone but I prefer more dramatic and darker colours so I was looking at red and blue stones as they are the two colours of clothing I wear the most. Apart from black, obviously, but they will match with that too.

I think I might get them as well as some products from Tropic skincare. I was told about this brand ages ago and I keep forgetting about them. Facial Serums and Oils | Tropic Skincare
I did have a bath and shave my legs last night and I put my body lotion next to the bath so I remember to use it every day. After I recover from my filling next Friday I am going to use that tooth whitening kit I bought from Amazon.
I just went for a walk and did some laundry and had some breakfast. I'm about to start another book. Groundhog day, haha.

Fish and chips went well, the fish was fantastic the chips a bit soggy but OK. It felt great to not have to cook. I'm doing roast chicken today for me and DH, GS having his in a Nando sauce with rice so not difficult to please everyone.
I'm looking forward to hearing what Boris has planned for us, not sure what time his announcement is going to be but I daresay there will be plenty on the news channels all day tomorrow. I'd like to be able to see at least some of my kids so need to be able to travel a bit, nearest is 100 miles away so hoping we could at least meet up halfway. I'm nearly 3 weeks from vaccination, only 3 days to go and I think that might be adding to my feeling stir crazy.8 -
Wonderful news. New Govt. Target.ALL Adults 1st dose of vaccine by end of July. 🥂6

Love the sapphire necklace Wednesday - blues are my favourite colours for jewellery, my Pandora bracelet is based mainly around blues & turquoise.
Glad you enjoyed your fish supper pixie, I haven’t had fish & chips for ages - not since last Summer down on the quay at Weymouth 🌞.
Hope you are feeling better today LL?
Your chilli looks very tasty sugar - I always prefer it on the second day too - the flavours really develop overnight.
Going out for a walk soon as it has finally brightened up a bit after two days of virtually non-stop rain. Will wash & style my hair when we return from the walk and then have a bit of a pamper this evening with a manicure and face-pack.
We have a Tesco Finest £10 meal deal for dinner tonight so I am looking forward to that - steak, chips, profiteroles & a bottle of Merlot, then I will add some grilled tomatoes, onion rings, peas and a peppercorn sauce.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone & let’s hope for some good news in the announcement tomorrow 🤞.7 -
Yes it does feel a bit like Groundhog Day at times. 😂. But at least it's getting warmer. I'm going to survey my garden in a bit and maybe have a little tidy up.Still no voice but thankfully less pain,
lovely jewellery Wednesday. I haven't worn my new pearls yet but I'm so pleased I treated myself.Must admit I fancy a nice fish supper. Might do that this week. I am just tucking into a mini pork pie for my breakfast, no idea why I never touch them normally but I just fancied one today. 😂9
