Sorry to read that. Who was Bonnie's boyfriend?
It's one of medications he is on that means my dog occasionally has accidents in the house. He didn't have this problem before he was on them."You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

That's interesting about being stuck in a former era chanie. Both Gloria Hunniford and Angela Rippon's styles reminded me of all those women MPs they called Blair's Babes with their brightly coloured jackets. This contrasted with Julia Somerville and her teddy bear coats which are more current fashion. I don't follow fashion slavishly but I think know which current looks suit me and which don't. I did laugh/cringe at that photo of Liz Hurley in the snow. What was she thinking?? I'll stick to my thermals. 🤣
A friend of mine had a rotator cuff injury floss and they operated on it eventually as no amount of physio would put it right. I hope you get sorted soon. 😊
That's really frustrating for you trying to contact the DWP Wednesday. The surgery isn't helping either. It was only recently that you restarted your medication, how can they not have a record of it? 🤔 It's reminiscent of all the problems that sugarbaby had sorting her finances out and now it's probably made worse by Covid as so many additional people have had to apply for help.
It's a pretty miserable day here, wet and grey. Fresh air is tempting but probably won't go out. More pottering! 😁7 -
Oh, how sad CG.xxx
Yesterday I was thinking about my cat that I had to have put to sleep last year. My husband had to take him on on his own as we both weren't allowed in to the vet.

@helensbiggestfan said "wednesday.....I know exactly what you mean about lurching between panic and boredom. I have so much I need and want to do but just can't seem to find the motivation at the moment. I can only put the lack of motivation down to Lockdown because I have never felt like this before in my life. Its just not me. It's not depression, it's just a total lack of "get up and go". I am hoping that as the days get warmer and lighter I will feel more inclined to get stuck in".That is how I feel, I read here everyday and often intend to post but then forget or can;t be bothered.I read that lockdown has caused depression and I said oh I'm fed up of it but not depressed but this last week I'm not so sure although I fight to keep as upbeat as I can.Regarding fashion (which I've totally neglected in lockdown ) I think it may have Angela Rippon who said in a message to fashion police"I don't care what you think about me as I don't think about you at all"
Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

I know Maman. I got rejected last time I applied for PIP and gave up as I found the whole process so frustrating! I'm not the most patient person in the world!
On the brighter side I have lost 4 pounds this month, it must be from all the extra steps I'm doing. I haven't been out for a walk yet today but I did use my trampoline. According to my pedometer that was 1000 steps.
I saw this advert for this exercise equipment that you pedal when you are sitting down so you can get exercise while you are at a desk or watching TV. It looked quite good. The well known one is called a Cubii. I hadn't heard of it. I was thinking maybe that is what I should get for my birthday.I don't know if it is worth the money...

Wednesday2000 said:If that was to me I called HMRC when I first needed to be in contact with them and they said that they only took cheques. This was a few years ago so it's obviously changed. I only ordered a cheque book from my bank to pay HMRC so I just find it easier to send it to them.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Good afternoon everyone
Just waiting for my banana cake to bake. It's about the only kind of cake I can make.😂.Wednesday you have my sympathy dealing with DWP, but please don't give up. Make them pay what you are entitled to receive. It's your legal right. It took me 18 months, three appeals and eventually a tribunal before a panel of 3 judges before they would cough up, but I got them to fulfil their duty in the end. By this time my husband was Virtually paralysed. The look on the judges faces when they saw him was priceless, at least they had the grace to look uncomfortable, especially when I initially refused to interpret for them because he could no longer speak. It was harrowing and humiliating for my husband. I don't think I have ever been so angry. This was the man who had been a successful CEO of his own business and who had ploughed huge amounts of tax revenue into the system. Capital gains, corporation, income, vat, employers liability you name it and yet when it was his turn to claim they treated him like a piece of worthless scum. Angry? I was incensed at the time and I vowed I would make them pay up. The DWP completely ignored all the written evidence from his medical team.
When both my husband and my mother were eligible for CHC (Continuing Health Care) once again they were denied. I fought back, tooth and nail. My husband was eventually awarded his about three months before he died and my mother six weeks after her death. I refused to give up, I was determined to make them honour their legal obligations. It is shameful the way the DWP try to wriggle out of their social care commitments and the way the NHS tries to avoid paying for CHC.Wednesday ....Don't let them beat you, they will try and put as many obstacles in your path as they can. If I may give you one tip, record everything you say and do. Back up phones calls with letters, photocopy all correspondence and send everything by signed for registered mail.I have lost count of the times they told me they hadnt received correspondence from me, then when I told them it had been tracked and signed for lo and behold they managed to retrieve "lost" documents. 😂🤣. They must think we are stupid.I am usually dead easy going but they chose the wrong person to bully. I just wouldn't let them get away with it. Tbh it made me ill at times, the stress exacerbated my stomach problems and caused me to have severe chest pains, so much so that I ended up in A&E with a suspected heart attack. Fortunately it was "only" stress. 😱. Without doubt that period was the worst time of my life. It's over now, but I will never forget it.Well done on the weight loss. 👍7 -
I've been awol recently- it's just been one of those months! 🙈 Hugs to all that need them, sounds like a lot of contributers have been going through a tough time 😔
Fabbing has been pretty much non-existent this month for me and I need to turn that around!
I've decided to do a 'Fabulous February' - I'm concentrating on me and my wellbeing for the whole month - good food (I've done a 28 day menu plan); lots of water; fresh air; lots of music; plenty of relaxation/sleep; body treatments like exfoliation and Epsom salt baths and a whole lot of 'me' time! I've realised that my main issue/stumbling block is the way I view things so I'm not fitting this all in around other stuff, I'm fitting other stuff in around this 😉 It's time to put me first for once! 😊

Thanks floss for the tip with the tax. I think i am going to use a tax advisor to make to easier- sometimes you just have to spend a bit to save a bit of money and a load of stress.
One of my hands was stiff and the fingers were inconveniently a bit irritating yesterday and the wrist today. It is not painful but there- if you know what I mean. I just find it not ideal. I might try so magnesium spray and hold a warm cup of tea.
My fabbing went out the window yesterday- nothing matched too well and the blue tones were similar but not enough. I should do better.
Discovered that google podcasts are working on the laptop now- everything synced with the phone.7 -
Fabulous February sounds Fantastic!!! I'm in. 😁
As a matter of fact I looked at myself yesterday and reached the same conclusion.......I definitely need to up my game. 😌. So today, sod the horrible One Miles clothes that I dislike so much I have decided to bin them. From now on, unless I'm decorating or doing something messy, I am going to dress properly.Today I'm wearing a charcoal grey mini dress tunic thing over black leggings, dressed up with a chunky "ethic necklace" and some black sequinned ballet shoes that I normally wear on cruises. Hair is styled and after my breakfast I will put on some slap and paint my nails.I've got family coming over for lunch so I don't quite feel "all dressed up and nowhere to go". But yes, Leftatthetrafficlights I shall be joining in for Fabulous February.Great challenge to get me motivated again. Thank you.8
