I had to take my dog in a taxi to the vet today. He has an eye infection and an ear infection. I walked around Tesco while he saw the vet as you are not allowed inside the vet now. I luckily caught the bus just as I got to the bus stop on the way home. There was only one other person on there. I think that is only the second bus I've been on in months. There are some upsides to lockdown as that was the least stressful visit to the vet I've had in ages! I feel cold now as it was drizzling and I was waiting outside the vet for about 15 minutes. I'm going to get a hot water bottle.
My Matalan order arrived this morning. I'm going to try out the thermal top tomorrow. I can't be bothered to go back out for my walk as I had to carry my dog from the bus and I feel tired. He is a small dog but he is quite chunky!7 -
My lovely next door neighbour (who works on a farm) gave me 10 eggs yesterday - all different colours! For lunch today I made a cheese omelette. I haven't had one for years and it was really nice.
Not been out for a walk for a couple of days now, I'm struggling a bit to be honest. The weather is much warmer here but its very drizzly and misty and I hate this kind of weather.
After reading the comments about the Pembrokeshire murders I'm going to give it a go later on today.Debt free and Keeping on Track6 -
We decided to brave the misty drizzle (I believe they call it mizzle in Cornwall🤔) and go for a walk. It's a positively tropical 11 degrees here! 😊 As it was getting close to lunchtime there didn't seem to many people about walking so we went to the riverside park, which is often crowded but not today. We managed 6000 steps, door to door so all local and legal.😉 My hair didn't like it much but I do feel better for getting out and about.
Called into the little Co-op and treated myself to some YS long stemmed roses. I bought a new vase recently which should be perfect, will arrange them later.
Reviews suggest that Episode 2 of Pembrokeshire Murders is even better than Episode 1. Enjoy.😊8 -

cold, wet and miserable here.I saw a preview of the actor who plays the murdererer in the Pembrokeshire murders. He was talking about visiting the area to listen to the local accents etc. He then went on to say by all accounts he was a normal guy, he had even appeared on the quizshow bullseye, it then showed a clip of him throwing the darts !5

Glad my son gave you a smile LL. The other classic was my sister and sister in law were both pregnant, both going to the same maternity hospital. Son asked me how babies were made, so I did the talk for little ones about seeds and daddies and so on. He looked at me in disgust and said, "That's not true, it's the doctor. My daddy couldn't do that." I asked him which doctor and he said, "The one auntie A and auntie B see at the hospital, he did it." So that put me in place for telling lies but I did think at 4 he was quite smart to put it together, they went to the hospital for scan and didn't announce it till they had the scan so he put 2 and 2 together and solved the age old question.
Watched the second episode of The Pembrokeshire Murders, GS wasn't as keen but I thought it was good. Of course it isn't much of a mystery when you know what is going to happen but interesting to see how they got there.
Wednesday I hope the dog is OK.5 -
Had a busy start to the day. Got GS up for school starting, that's a days work in itself, and got him breakfast. Then my food delivery came so all that was put away, dustbin day today so got the bins out, made a big pot of chilli so will have some today and freeze some, made a big pot of stew which will be for tomorrow. Tidied up the kitchen. I think I've earned a sit down now so having a cuppa, checking e mails and watching the news channel.
Hope everyone is well, I feel very positive about the vaccine and hearing it is being rolled out to pharmacies now plus hearing that people who have had the infection are likely to have antibodies for at least 5 months which is good news as son is back on the ward and still no sign of his vaccination but as a nurse on the front line he should get it in the next 4 or 5 weeks. Fingers crossed. Apparently his first jab will act like the booster as he has already had it so he should get a good level of protection. Definitely will help my worry level.
I need to motivate myself to get out, I've been out for a short walk twice in the last 2 weeks and I'm getting too comfortable being in the house all the time. DH should get the vaccine by mid Feb as he is in one of the top categories and I think we will feel better about going out then.7 -
Wow Pixie....I'm exhausted just reading.😂.Good to hear about your son, glad you are feeling a bit more upbeat. My nurse DIL had her jab yesterday. It's on its way. And whilst the death rate was truly shocking yesterday, it seems the amount of new cases had fallen slightly. Fingers crossed lockdown is starting to work.Good morning lovely ladies.Well, what can I say, maybe it's time to start building an ark. 😂. It's the most disgusting dirty day here, I won't be setting a foot of the out of the door. It seems to have been non stop rain for the last 36 hours or so and snow is forecast. I don't mind rain or snow for that matter but alas the bottom section of the garden is flooded. Not as bad as a couple of years ago but doubtless I will lose some plants again - just as they were really starting to thrive.A quiet day today.8

Another one who is feeling more positive today.
I noticed of late that my feet were looking a bit scaly and flaky - the top of the foot not the bottom. For the last couple of weeks I have been massaging them with foot lotion every evening. I must say I am really pleased as I can see the results already. I think this is one thing I will try and do most evenings from now on.
Went for a walk, only about 30 mins as its very, very windy here. No rain but a cloudy sky. I am glad I made the effort for the walk.
Tonight's tea is a bit of a mish mash, fishcakes served with leftover Christmas veg that I had frozen, so cauliflower cheese, swede, carrots, parsnips and sprouts with chestnuts.Debt free and Keeping on Track6 -
My dog seems a little bit better today.
I wore my navy dress and my new high necked jumper for my walk today. I did 4000 steps but the weather was so bad I didn't stay out long. it is pouring with rain and windy. I tried on the gilet but it doesn't suit me at all! I think I will just wear it around the house.
I changed into my new loungewear when I got home as my legs were soaked. It's quite nice as it's black and sparkly and it is warm too. I was watching a YouTube video yesterday and the stylist was saying loungewear was one of the trends of 2021. Luxe loungewear that is good enough quality that you can wear it outside the house. She also said about hoodies being a trend.
My hair looks awful. Really frizzy from the rain. I'm going to wash it this afternoon.2025 GOALS
