Sorry about your foot Pixie.
Glad you had a great birthday LL.
Maman - I'm getting nervous about the match tonight! I was in a chazzer earlier and the young guy behind the counter said he thought England will easily win tonight but that he thinks Italy will win the final.
We went down to see the house yesterday and also looked at two other houses and a flat. I really liked both houses and the flat so the houses will go on the possible list if this house falls through. Both were a lot more expensive though so I hope that isn't what happens.
We went out for a meal and then for a glass of wine in a bar overlooking the sea. It was lovely and it is finally dawning on me that I am leaving London. Not lovely weather though, we got caught in a rainstorm near the beach as we were walking to the bar and I got drenched even with an umbrella.
I have been doing more decluttering today and that was what I was doing in a chazzer today, dropping a bag of clothes off. I did see a nice shirt for my husband and a red knee length dress for me that I bought. I am going out to a local meet-up later this week, but I think the dress is a bit too bright to meet strangers for the first time!
I am half watching this Wimbledon match and I think I will have a beer.

I don't like to criticise my alter ego but I have to say I wasn't impressed with the yellow frock. 😂.5

I dont play a huge amount of attention to the footy as a rule, although I do like to see Derby county do well but I am definitely rooting for England......I am a bit of a patriot at heart, despite being half Belgian. My sister on the other hand always supports Belguim so i guess it evens out.Anyway......Once more into the breech..... I shall be there with the wine and nibbles.
Winning would be so good for National pride and morale, because as we all know football is not just a game, it's far more important than that.Of course winning the World Cup would be even better. 😉.
Having said that I would be just as happy to see the Danes win tonight, I think they are a deserving team and worthy opponents. I had to smile when a Danish fan on the TV warned....."look out the Vikings are back,"
Tribal or what.I suppose I will have to start taking more of an interest in the Beautiful Game because my almost 3 year old grandson is football daft and already goes to Football academy and apparently is doing very well.Daddy is so proud.......😂🤣.Wednesday - your chazzer shop guy might be right about Italy winning. According to my son, the football oracle, the current Italian side are playing with style, wit and panache. 🤷♀️😂🤣. He ascribes their current top form to their manager. I'll just take his word for it. Lol.7 -
Thanks Wednesday. I'm actually amazed at how fast it is improving, my problem is going to be staying off it, I'm stir crazy and bored to death already.
That's good that you have some other houses lined up. I hate buying and selling houses, it is so stressful so I think having something else lined up is really positive. I desperately want to move but DH just won't budge. I think things like this foot just shows how useful it would be to be near family. I guess I just have to keep plugging away and hope he sees it my way one day.6 -
ll happy birthday,it sounds like you had lots to look forward to. I’m so pleased you popped by, you have been missed.
I’m still busy with work, but things are slowing fit for a few weeks, whilst everyone is on their summer break, so hopefully I’ll be able spend more time on here.
maman funny you mention Gap, I heard they were closing their stores, so I went to the local outlet to stock up, as I think the children’s clothes are good quality. I bought myself a jeans jacket, as I’ve wanted one for a while now. The first one I tried was ‘Goldilocks and the three bears’ (either too big or too small) and then I found another lot, which fitted much better (even though they all looked the same).

The football was so incredible last night!
I remember the game back in 1996 very well as I was at uni then. I was pretty hungover this morning and had a long lie-in.
Despite the hangover I am off out tonight to a drinks meet-up, lol. I'm going to wear a summer dress and sandals and my earrings and necklace. I've never met anyone there before but it seems like it is a small and friendly group.2025 GOALS

I've put some washing on and the vacuum is calling to me. I can't stand this sitting doing nothing, I am feeling claustrophobic and very grumpy. I keep thinking of the doctor warning me to sit and rest and not worry about the house but it is easier said than done. I've also had a niggling headache for days, I'm sure I didn't bang my head when I fell so not sure what that is about.
The positives are that the horrible mouth ulcers I had last weekend have finally healed and the Iceland frozen meals were better than I expected. I got them for the gourmet or deluxe or some such range. We often have a takeaway on a Friday so it might be fish and chips tonight, they started delivering last year so that is useful.
Can't think of any other positives, well I think the pain level has gone down.
Hope you had a lovely evening Wednesday, I look forward to reading about it.

Hello Ladies,
I have had a busy week so far, doing things I enjoy. On Tuesday I went to Music Appreciation. I was up with some of the other ladies dancing, so I had a great time.
On Wednesday I had started a new creative writing course at Crate in Walthamstow. I took the Victoria line tube from Brixton which really cut the journey time down for me. It was a totally different experience to the creative writing sessions I am currently doing with Blackfriars Settlement. We did lots of fun exercises which really broke down the barriers and ensured that we started to get to know each other. The creative writing we did were timed sessions, but all 4 of us ladies managed to produce good work under such pressure in fact some of the work was great, even though we only had 3 minutes to write, then 10 minutes to write. I am really looking forward to the next two weeks of Poetry Writing Workshops, then on the final week we will be putting on a show to an invited audience.
Yesterday I was doing my Creative Writing session at Blackfriars Settlement. We discussed allegorical writing and our facilitator has asked us to try our hands at writing a piece of allegorical writing. This is something completely new for me, so even though I thought of a couple of ideas, I have not yet written anything in this vein. I intend to write it over the weekend when I will have more time, as I may need to do a little research.
Tonight I will be performing some of my poetry at the Open Mic event at Black Cultural Archives in Brixton, which I am looking forward to.

That sounds great Sugarbaby. Good luck tonight, I hope it goes well.
I've done a bit of fabbing. Did a hair mask then had a long shower in my new bathroom. The bruising on my foot is looking quite dramatic. It is funny how tiring everything is, I'm lying on the sofa now and hoping someone might offer to make a cup of tea!
I do feel brighter with my hair looking better and a nice top with my jeggings.
