Wednesday I always think that knowing what you don’t want is as helpful as knowing what you do want.  At least you now know you want a house, rather than a flag.

maman I’ve got a couple of bits from Aspinal, all bought in the sales or on ebay.  I remember really wanting a travel wallet just stalking them until it went down in the sale (only got to use it a few times before lockdown 😂).

Im also trying to go for more quality rather than quantity, but with my accessories.  Im currently saving up for another luxury bag for my birthday. 

Hopefully, work will be slowing down for a bit as people will be going on holiday etc.  I’ll be looking forward to having a break.

I've lost just a touch over a pound this week so it's going in the right direction. More importantly I'm getting into the habit of eating three fairly healthy meals a day and resisting snacks and alcohol. I must have cut my intake of sugar and "bad" fat dramatically. And I feel much better for it.

The kitchen is now spick and span and everything has a "home". I even managed to fix a broken drawer and put up a towel rail. There is so much more room. The accessories arrived (black) and it's looking much more co-ordinated.  Even the Boy noticed when he came for dinner on Sunday so the change must be quite dramatic. Next project is our bedroom. Nothing needs to be purchased. Just a good clean and clear out.

All the plants are starting to bloom on my little verandah garden. It's a beautiful day so I think I'll tidy that up, sweep it over and wipe the door and windowsill. Got a new doormat arriving today.

Hello Ladies, 

I had a really lovely day yesterday celebrating my son's 21st birthday. He wanted to go to the local eat as much as you like Chinese buffet restaurant. We went for lunch time and it was quiet, which is not usual but was very welcome. You had to santise your hands on arrival and keep your mask on apart from when you were eating and drinking. Even before this pandemic, I always carried a handbag size sanitiser and a small packet of wipes in my handbag, so we used my hand sanisier and wipes throughout the meal just for our own peace of mind.   

My son enjoyed opening his cards and presents. He got some money as well.    A lot of my family are waiting for his party to happen and then they will give him his presents and more money, but he was really happy with what he received, especially the gold plated watch I got him.   

My niece who makes cakes professionally, made him a cake as her present to him. It looked amazing and tasted delicious.  It was far too big for 3 of us, so I am taking most of it to give away to others who will appreciate it, when I go to Blackfriars Settlement this afternoon. 

I am looking forward to my Music Appreciation session today.

That's a clever cake for your son with 21 and his graduation on it sugarbaby. Great idea to share it (probably better than eating too much yourselves😉). It's rather nice that he gets a double celebration. You must be so proud of him. 

Well done on another loss TF. Aside from the weight going in the right direction you do sound really energised. I hope you find, like I do, that once everything has a place then it's so much simpler to keep things tidy.

We've made a lot of our small, front garden this year. That's mainly because the back is in the process of being cleared at the moment. It's on stop because we're waiting on council permission to prune a tree  and the fencing can't be completed because of  a shortage of materials. We're expecting our new neighbours to move in any day now so maybe they'll have contacts that can move things along.  The front garden looks really pretty. I have a few perennials in pots like bay, lavender and hostas but I also bought just a few pounds worth of mixed bedding from Aldi and they look lovely, if a bit more colourful than I'm used to. 

I had a little browse in Matalan this morning and bought myself a cheap sundress.

I haven't tried it on yet so don't know if it's a keeper. I want something to wear around the house and garden  when it's really hot as I really don't like shorts. 

It's dry but overcast here. Dancing tonight, so something to get dressed up for. I need to juggle watching the football, having dinner and getting to my dance class by 8 p.m. Hope there's no extra time or penalties! 🤣

Ooh, we think we have the house we are going to buy.

We saw it this morning and we will make an offer tomorrow! We have two more viewings of our house tomorrow and a few on Saturday lined up.

The England match was so amazing yesterday. I was crying after they scored the first goal almost to the end, lol.

If we do get this house I will always remember seeing that match as it was probably one of the best I have ever seen England play!

Ironically, the house we live in now we viewed on our way to an FA cup match in Brighton, which our team won. Let's hope, England's win is a lucky sign. 

It's been quite a good day here today. We got out for a good walk this morning and it was hot enough for my new, sleeveless top. Tomorrow I'm going to have a good pamper session. It's especially important with so much flesh on show! 🤣

I think the sun dress will be a keeper but might try a smaller size. 🤔

I went to another Creative Writing session. This is a 4 week course. It was really great to discuss lots of ideas. I wrote another piece of creative writing with the title 'I Could Not Speak'. I read it out to my son and daughter and they both liked it.
