Yay boxes collected - most of them anyway. I have kept a few to put things in as and when building bits start. Garage is also sorted a little more ready for the electrician on Friday. Need to book a trip to the tip before then though really as there are some bits that need to go. They were put in the garage until i got the last slot, but then i booked the wrong branch and never did rebook.
We were talking to next door and she is not keen on my extension as she thinks it will block the light in her already dark living room. I don't think it will - hopefully but may have to deal with disgruntled neighbour if it does. I know she always said the same to XH when he came up with his grand plans that we all knew would never happen. Problem is that this will happen as long as planning etc is granted. May end up sticking to just toilet and basin though rather than washing machine and dryer too.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Payday is here and although the payslip online hasn't been updated as yet the money went into my account just after midnight. It is slightly higher than last month, but I think that may be due to tax being refunded as i was charged at basic rate last month as they hadn't received any paperwork to say otherwise. Either way it was lovely to be paid while on holiday and also to be paid early in the day rather than waiting for boss to pay me eventually when they remembered! Next month should be higher as I will be paid for full time hours, well 22.5) rather than the part time hours I was on. Next job on the list today is to put money into pots.
I'm a little anxious about going back to work. I think its because i have memories of going back to a boss (old job) that was not always the nicest - even though new boss and staff are lovely, I also have a whole day of training (normally teacher based rather than for the jobs I do, so I tend to feel out of depth), and because I still haven't learnt my full job having started it part time last term. There is still lots to learn. I know I will be fine and they are all lovely, but its like I'm starting my first day all over again.
Today will be spent making sure we are all ready to go back (had a look a few weeks back, but I want to check again), need to pack my bag for tomorrow. Easy dinner, bath and bed early. I got a letter from DD1 and DS school with details for the new children and their testing. Just waiting for a reply from them as my children are not in year 7, when do they go back for testing?
DD2's school are back to normal times as they are no longer staggering times for drop off, so i need to get my head round being there 20 mins earlier. I do also wonder how long before some of these things will go back to summer term arrangements because of new cases. We will see. Have a great day

First day back at work all done. It was a long day with a very early start, but well worth it. We met with all of the other schools in our group and met all of the heads of everything. Staff trees and organisation charts now seem much more real. We met in a very fancy hotel and were treated to almond croissants for breakfast, giant cookies for teatime and a hot meal from the restaurant for lunch. Truly spoilt considering it was work. It was like a business meeting at a well run company, but instead of profit margins and advertising strategies they discussed the children and the curriculum etc. Apparently they do this each year, but this is the first time its been at the fancy hotel. Tomorrow we have more training, but just my normal hours at our normal place of work.
We had tomato soup and cheese toasties for dinner this evening as we had all eaten at lunch time. Plus it is getting quite chilly here and I think autumn has definitely arrived. My best friend has just dropped off a cosy hoodie for me as a happy back to work gift. She is so thoughtful and it is so me. So I am sitting here in pjs and hoodie, under my blanket, one of the cats on the arm of my chair and i'm browsing the diaries on here. Stop double guessing yourself! You are a lovely, kind, friendly person. The team all really like you and you are dynamic enough and hard working enough to make the job work. I think they could give you 3 extra tasks on your first day back and you would totally rock it.
Well done on getting prepared for Monday. I got my girls to try everything on the other day and the pe shorts were fine. The pinafores and jogging bottoms weren't. I wasn't prepared for that. Plus my eldest has got out of the habit of wearing fitted clothes and had a meltdown throughout the whole thing. Super fun. I've yet to try on school shoes. They aren't allowed to outgrow them - I only bought them in May. Hope they give you the information for return to school soon xxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

Thank you to you both for kind words and encouragement. Day 2 of training is done (whizzed by to be honest) and as expected things are coming flooding back to me and are not so scary
. Staff are still as lovely as they were before the holidays.
Got a few bits to do this afternoon, but quite a relaxed afternoon is planned. The children have clubs this evening but it means i can sit there and read a book. Tomorrow we have a meeting in the evening at my house so I do need to make sure i have enough milk etc for people to have a drink, as well as getting the accounts sorted. Washing already put on and know what is for dinner. Just feel a weight has been lifted and totally calm and content at the moment

Good evening to you all. Today has been another productive day and as it was Friday I finished at 12.30 so half an hour earlier than the rest of the week. Plenty of time to get washing in after work and dry before everyone turned up for a committee meeting. We got loads sorted and as it was our first meeting in ages there was a lot to discuss. Plans in place and some jobs to get done. The electrician came back and finished putting electric in the garage so i can now move the freezer over and get a spare kitchen cupboard.
Tomorrow we might head to the beach for a bit of fun with XH nana. We ran out of time to see her again during the 6 weeks so trying to fit everyone in at weekends instead. Right I'm off to bed. Have a great weekend everyoneMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Well we made it to the beach today even though the sun forgot to come with us. We had a good walk, 2p machines and then maccy ds on the way home. I think nana enjoyed herself as much as we did. I know I am ready for bed but doubt I will get to bed just yet.
Tomorrow is quiet and just getting ready for the week ahead. Just done my food order for this week so that's a job I can tick off the list too. Got a few events to plan for the kids groups so may give them a phone call tomorrow or perhaps leave that until during the week. This week i have a few bits to do in the afternoon. I have a physio for my hip / trapped nerve / result of falling the other year, i also have the architect coming over to measure up and to get a better picture of what I would like, lunch meet up with a friend and then next weekend a cream tea with the ladies from my old job. I am also hoping to hear from the builder re the girls bedroom. Busy Busy.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
