Well we had ice cream on meringues for pudding as a little celebration.  I certainly know how to live lol.

I cant remember if i mentioned it, but we received our Easter holiday food parcel from the local charity today (because of the free school meals).  There are 8 meals in it, some savoury and some sweet.  We had pitta pizzas for lunch from it today.  Before benefits i never realised there was so much help out there, and i fully intend to help repay the favour.  It's certainly made a difference to our budget recently.

Right i am off to bed to dream about the next stage :)

Humdinger that did cross my mind last night when laying in bed.  I was convinced he was letting himself in downstairs, even though i got the key back.  Anyway i'm hoping i wont be hanging around here too long so wont need to lol.  Have transferred the odd amount over to emergency fund this morning as the odd amount was bugging me, so it now stands at £1120 exactly.  I have also contacted the mortgage lady to see what she can do for me - all depends on her really as to if i have to stay for the time being or if i can sell up.

FtbDreaming - yes i am mortgage free but owe my uncle the cost of the mortgage as well as the £20k for paying off XH.  This is a loan as i was unable to get it through inheritance due to the benefits which i still need day to day.  My problem re mortgage lenders is that I am still within the 6 years of completing DMP so that goes against me a little.  I do however have no missed payments in this time and no CCJ's so hoping that is a plus for me. I also earn less than i get in benefits which they do not like.  And now to add onto that combination of issues i owe £108k ish to my uncle - although only required to pay £50 a month to him currently.

It wont be easy to get it even though my money spreadsheet shows i can afford things.  I have the money there, but need someone to take a leap of faith that i will pay them back.

I have today sent the information over to the mortgage advisor so fingers crossed she can find someone - was only 1 company willing to help before and that would have been at a high rate.

Cheerleader thank you - it made my day too :)

Aww well I’ve got everything crossed for you. I got my mortgage with a ccj and low income so it’s not impossible. I don’t know if you’ve been in touch with @ACG in the mortgage forum. He got me mine and was brilliant. He specialises in adverse lending and is really easy to talk to because I don’t know about you but I feel very inadequate speaking to some financial people about my low income and benefits never mind a ccj on top!

Thanks ftbdreaming - the lady i am using is also from the mortgage forum and lovely.  If it doesn't happen i will just chuck all my money at the loan and then in 2 years when DMP has gone from my account the debt will be less.

Ive just looked at the statement on the mortgage account and i was hoping to see a nice zero balance, but it says they owe me £1980 ish.  I am confused and wondering if they havent quite finished things up as yet or if i will indeed have some money back.  Anyone have any ideas
