Still snowing!!!  I've just had a message on my benefits account that a 'decision maker' has been asked to look at my case re mortgage / loan / inheritance / XH Payoff.  Although I am happy that I will have a decision that will be final (hopefully) and we can work with, I am really hoping they don't go back on what they have already advised.  I asked the question over 2 weeks ago and only now have I had this message.  I too hope they make the decision soon in case I need to rework things.  Fingers well and truly crossed people for a good outcome.
On another note the £24 winnings went into my account today and I have purchased an Amazon voucher which I will put towards Christmas / bday presents.

Oh my word.  I have just heard that my consent order has been processed and signed by the judge and is in the post to me.  I can now get the house and hand XH the money an get him off my finances once and for all.  I really thought I would have to wait at least another month.  Only problem now is that I have a month to hand over the money and sign the house back to me, but also need to wait for the decision maker from benefits department to make his decision over the situation.  I'm not sure how long their decision will take to make?

Great news @slm6002.  Hope the benefits people don't take too long with a decision.

Contacted the benefits people and explained the situation.  I asked how long the timescale was for decision makers.  They are busy but think I should know within 9 days, which will then leave me hopefully with enough time to sort things out.  I feel a little better about things now as was unsure over timings and if I could complete things on time.  Now I will wait for XH to start pestering me about getting things moving, as I know they now have his correct address so he will hear about this one, and obviously he has his grand plans with his plot of land!

Well I am still a little shell shocked from yesterdays news.  No post today so will wait for the paperwork to arrive.  Informed my Uncle who is lending me the money that it is probably all go.  His reply is well at least it will be done by august.  No need it done in 30 days as per consent order.  'OK maybe I can come down end of March to sort it out'.....er no needs to be done and dusted by mid march.  Felt like I was banging head against brick wall.  Anyway I cant really do anything until benefits reply so trying not to think about things too much. I did say I also think he may have to confirm his identity over phone/post rather than traveling 250/300 miles to see my solicitor and staying in the house.  He lives alone and neither of us have a bubble, so could in theory create a bubble as allowed but still think it is pushing it a little.
Anyway reached £10.22 in surveys so I will cash out and get another am@zon voucher for Christmas time.  I also finished postal survey and have another £5 there too but will leave it until £10 (another £5 due fairly shortly), before I cash that one.
Got a little bit of actual work work to do but mainly home schooling for me today.  DD1 has a cooking competition to do for form time so that is todays task once all other real school work has been completed.

I can only imagine.  Final push to get everything sorted and settled.  I'm sure it will be a bit stressful but it will feel really good once it is all done!

OK well the first time in 16 years of me living at this address and I have had a second post.  Apparently because of the snow they were only delivering parcels earlier and then as she had time and snow was melting she delivered the rest of the post.  Well in my delivery was the consent order agreed on 29th January!  So rather than mid march ish I have until 25th February as its 28 days not the 30days I remember it being.  Eeek.  15 days to go.  8 of them possibly taken up with benefits people.  I rang solicitor in state of panic.  Uncle needs to get ID verified at the post office and not come here.  I also need to do the same, and when I get his information I am to put it through the solicitors door.  I still need to sort the loan wording out and the solicitor needs to get all of the relevant documentation ready for the tfr of deeds.  In the meantime XH needs to get off his bum and arrange a solicitor - I know he is keen to get this done but the actual act of doing it is different in reality as I am not going to sort it for him.  I will get documents sorted for tomorrow and then walk into town to myself verified at least.  Argh time is so short to get all this done in
