Love it when they cook. My boy is grown and out of the house for 6 years now and he Loves to eat out All. The. Time. He's learned how to budget from me though, so he just budgets for it and can afford it, but I still tell him, Papi, you need to cook more just so you have some general life skills. And occasionally, he will. Or one of the roommates will cook and they contribute to groceries. But I don't think he'll ever truly cook during the week and just enjoy takeout on weekends. Eating out is a priority for him, I guess, and sometimes I'm jealous. I would love to almost never cook. Kudos to DD2 who wants to make dinner. I'm sure all these new tasty meal ideas will serve her well as she grows and moves out on her own.Mortgage start date Dec 2015 - $64,655.00

Thank you @LeighofMar it is lovely when they cook and want to learn some life skills.
The sun is out and I need to pop another load of washing on the line as it is also very windy. I've not been outside as yet but am guessing it is cooler out there and a proper autumnal feeling.
I have written my to do list and need to get working through it as I am very conscience that my uncle will soon be here expecting the DIY to have been done. I will also need to get the back planted up with something to make it look pretty. I still need to fully untangle the lights and put those up.
I would like a bookshelf to store games and puzzles on behind the door but don't want to buy one so have been looking on the free sites. Nothing suitable as yet but will keep looking so I can then get rid of another box in the living room. A friend said to put the games in the loft but I think we would play them even less then plus not too much room up there. That is a job for next summer hols, to clear the loft and maybe get a decent floor put up there and a fixed ladder to make me want to use it better.

DS's bed has completely broken now and the company are still not answering my phone calls or emails. Not sure what to do next other than keep pestering them. I have DS doing some tidying to see if his storage boxes can be condensed into a few less and then he can fit a divan bed in instead. He has a shelf to still be put up and then some of his bits on display on shelving unit can go there, so the boxes can fit in the cubes. It might work.

That’s not good, tbh I find companies respond better to tweets naming them 🤣Sealed pot challenge 822

Found them on one site and left a message. Also left a poor review on their actual site. Maybe they will care, maybe they wont. Worth a try though and even if I get a response it will be more than I've managed so far.
Got some other bits done today but still plenty left for tomorrow. We even tried to get to the pumpkin patch as they had run out by half term last year. We went after DD1 had finished work, but they had shut about 20 min earlier. Hopefully we will find a suitable time tomorrow to go.

Well another sunny but cold day. 2 loads of washing done and dried outside. Although I love the fact I can still dry it outside, I hate the fact my hands freeze hanging it out and then getting it back in again. Not sure how many more loads will go outside before the dryer has to be started up again. I have seen that a lot of people have turned their heating on this week, but still no need here, even if DD1 is freezing in her skimpy clothes. She has a thick hoodie but wont wear it because its too hot!
I have crossed several things off the list for this weekend.
* Birthday cards ready for the 5 birthdays due before the end of the month, just DS's to buy.
* Bought the start of the Christmas gifts, and feel a little more organised with those. Realised there aren't as many people to buy for this year. There is no difference to last year but I think the days of having to buy for XH's family are still ingrained in my brain.
* I spoke to my Dad who has a bookshelf that should fit behind the door for the games I would like to store there. He is delivering it tomorrow after school. I am hoping I can then get a few boxes out of the living room. Wondering if it can be spray painted white to match as is currently black. Dad is even cutting the skirting board shape out before delivering it so it gives us a few extra cm's.
* Put DS's almost new trainers on ebay. XH bought them last year for his birthday, but in the wrong size even though DS was with him, but he refused to believe his actual size (bigger than XH's feet). DS wore them once and decided that they were too uncomfortable. Hopefully I can get some money for DS to put towards something he can actually use.
* DS and I have gone through the boxes under his bed and removed things no longer needed and reshuffled his cube unit to fit it all in. Shortly going to be putting up the extra shelf above his desk to display some more bits. Will need to take some bits to the charity shop this week at some point.
Right best go and put a shelf up

Today was the first time I needed to defrost the car and work turned the heating on. Been under the blanket at home though as can still cope with adding extra layers and the car cuddling up to me.
Dad bought the bookcase round and it fits perfectly. The box of games and puzzles is now in place on the shelves and looks much better. The box will be filled with bits for the charity shop which I will hopefully drop off on wed after work. The bookshelf will also provide somewhere nice to display some seasonal bits we have but never really know where to put. I still think that we can thin the games a little more but for now they fit.
Still need to make my lunch for tomorrow as I am there all day. I did get quite a bit done today and would have done more had I not have had to go back to work for training.
I spoke to my bank about getting the money back for the broken bed. I thought they would say no but they are raising a dispute and I just need to forward the bank all of the correspondence that I have made. They are hopeful that I may get the money back. I have just printed everything off ready to scan onto an email tomorrow to send to the bank. Finger crossedMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Chipped away at a big job Ive been putting off for some time today. Not finished but the bulk of it has been done. Will finish the rest tomorrow after work as I'm home at just gone 1. We then have a school quiz in the evening and I plan on putting the beef stew in the slow cooker in the morning (if I remember).
Got my pjs bottoms on but think I need to sort out the waist band as I think the elastic has gone. They are too comfy to get rid of even though covered in paint. I can hopefully thread a ribbon through the waist band so I can tie a bow to keep them up.
Right I must go have a shower and then get to bedMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
