Keep a food diary for the migraines - my DH was caused by having long life bread - took a while to see if there was a link.

We have been trying to find something but DS eats the same things most days as is quite a fussy eater.  We will though as you never know :)

Tonight I had beans on toast and it was lovely to have a simple meal.  Done a few more surveys since being back from club and shower is calling me.  Into bed soon and ready for another day.

Another day done.  We have popped to town for a few last min bits.  Also did an online escape room which was quite fun.  A few other games.  I am off to bed shortly as need to drive to the airport tomorrow and driving is not my favourite hobby when I am not confident in where we are heading.

Tomorrow evening will be a rest although DD1 has a trial at a local restaurant so probably not home until gone 10.  Sunday I plan on having a very restful day as Monday will be back to school and we will be on the last of the school year

Quick update as I have been waiting for such news.  XH has to pay me an extra £50 and a few pence extra a month for child maintenance.  That will have gone down like a lead balloon lol.  It amuses me as he was already thinking I had too much money from him.

Slept badly but think it was because I am anxious about todays drive.  I am sure it will be fine but must be on my mind.  Fingers crossed mum's OH will put headphones on and be quiet as he just doesn't stop talking nonsense.  I will need to concentrate.

Right best go get sorted :)

Well I made it there and back - not too bad on the roads, but would rather not do this too often.  Feel I can relax a little more now.  Mum now in the air.

Tonight while I wait for DD1 to finish her shift at the pub, I need to write a list of meals and then a shopping list (might do this bit tomorrow).  I still have the food voucher from the schools to use so that along with the bits in the house already should easily see us through until next week.  I also need to get my brother to let us have his recipe for his marinades he used at the bbq as they were really tasty.  Might add some pork belly to the shopping list especially to be marinaded and then bbq'd next week - if the sun stays out.

Did some weeding in the front garden earlier.  One of my new plants has died but the others seem to be doing ok.  Not sure why that one plant didn't do so well.  The grass has been cut and all is looking quite nice.  Needs some flowers but its doing ok.

Right off to try to get some inspiration for meals this coming week.

Well that's it, half term is over and back to work tomorrow.  Off for a shower and bed shortly.

Today I have been extra lazy and only really done 1 load of washing and a food shop.  The rest of today I have been sitting down and planning bits for the summer hols.  I have been searching through event pages and local village sites to see if anything is being advertised as yet.  I have asked the children what they would like to do - sleeping, nothing, crabbing were the answers given.

I am hoping the library contact DD2 soon to go and choose her shifts for the holiday and then we can start booking things around those days.  Outdoor cooking will be going ahead, but so far no dates have been confirmed.  I expect DD1 will have some cleaning work at the school to do at some point, and maybe some work at the pub (she got the job and thoroughly enjoyed herself.  She was amazed at the difference between the pub and the pizza place and said they actually cared about her and were kind - it really does make all of the difference).  I might get DS to ask if he is needed for a few extra days too as it will be a reason for him to leave his room!

I have already put in the haircuts and check uniform all ready the week before we go back - still need to book hairdressers but will do in a few weeks time.  I also need to find a good 1000 piece jigsaw and then check we have a board that is big enough.  We like to slide it under the sofa until we next get the urge to do some, or someone mentions that they are bored.  Will get hunting in the charity shops and also check the library as they have some to borrow indefinitely.

I have looked at the local zoo.  We have 2 that are roughly the same distance from us, just in the different direction.  The one I chose means that the younger 2 can go free with their blue peter badges (when we can hunt them out) and DD1 can get in as a student, meaning the price of the tickets is halved.  Picnic taken with us and a treat day sorted.  Just need to find the cards and badges - I know where they used to be, but they are no longer there.

Right I can hear the shower has just stopped so my turn :)

Day 1 of this half term went by quickly.  I felt like I needed a nap all afternoon so didn't do too much.  There is no band tonight which I am kind of grateful for as I am just hoping for some comfort food (sausage, mash and beans), , maybe some tv and then off to bed.

I cashed out my first £15 from surveys this morning.  Yet to turn it into anything,  I might take it out of the bank in cash ready for the hols, not sure yet.

I also found out what we will be doing for our first day back next school year - looks quite fun.  Well dinner is starting to smell good so will be off for now :)

The week is whizzing by.  Lots going on at work, so I am certainly being kept busy.  We have been busy most afternoon and evenings.  I am still trying to recover from a busy half term, but today felt a bit more like I was with it.  There is nothing else planned for tonight so hoping for another earlyish night.

I did manage to get some rest earlier and just pottered around on the patio weeding the pots and taking the old dead flowers out.  The beans I planted are coming along nicely so hopefully will soon be able to plant them out and get some runner beans before long.

The side gate was fitted yesterday and I am really happy with it.  We have had to go with bolts rather than a key lock but it blocks the side path.  Just waiting on the big gates at the bottom and then we will be all enclosed and we can leave the door open when home without the risk of people randomly wandering in to see us.  It will be great.  I am thinking summer will be good.  I would like some nice chairs to sit on so I can sit outside and relax, but will wait to see if I spot one that I like.

Yay we made it to the weekend.  Work was again busy but the morning flew by and I am crossing things off the list as I go.

I met my best friend this afternoon for a natta and a bit of cake.  I haven't seen her in person since before half term and it seems an age away.  It is her birthday next week and I would like to get her something for the garden as she is currently making it somewhere she would like to sit.  I will have a look around and see if I can spot something that might work.

I finally got an appointment with the Dr for DS about his migraines.  They have confirmed yes they sound like migraines and we have been doing all of the things that we should be.  Eyes tested, looking for common themes, treating with pain killers etc.  They have prescribed a nose spray to use at the onset of the migraine which will hopefully help to stop it in its tracks I believe.  We had the choice of spray of pills and because he is always sick it seemed a safer option to go with the spray as it will stay in his system even if ill.  Unfortunately they are having to order it in so we will await that phone call and keep our fingers crossed nothing happens in the mean time.

I think we are going to have a fairly busy weekend as I have a few bits planned as well as the normal things.  We also have a cat to feed, part time jobs to attend and museum volunteering to fit in.  I am planning a BBQ tomorrow evening, and then a trip to Jimmy's farm, possibly on Sunday with our free voucher.  I have the ribs in the slow cooker which will then go on the bbq tomorrow with the bbq sauce.  I need to make the marinade for the chicken so it can sit overnight ready.  I have extra potatoes cooking for the potato salad.  I must be feeling more awake as this organising and thinking ahead is starting to happen again :)

There are however thunderstorms and a good chance of rain of both days this weekend so we shall see if my plans happen or not.  We may end up with just oven cooked bbq bits and either getting wet at the farm or postponing for a few weeks

Good morning to you.  I have been a busy bee this morning and am just sitting for a short while to cool down and then I will be back to it.  We have decided yes to bbq but tomorrow will be a 'no going anywhere' day as DS has his first exam on Monday so a little revision and relaxing is due, especially as he is at the museum today.  If we go in a fortnights time we will be done with exams for this year anyway.

3 loads of washing done and on the line and almost dry.  Tempted to see if I can squeeze DS's bedding in and out before the bbqs start up.  Already done my bedding, so will look forward to getting into a lovely clean bed tonight - so lovely.  I have been to get bits for the bbq and I also was able to collect the nasal spray.  I assumed that it would be 1 spray with several doses in it.  It is actually several sprays each with 1 dose in each.  At least this means that he can have a couple in his school bag and some at home just in case.  I need to find the school form for medication and complete it so all is above board.

DD1 is at the pub, think it will be nice and busy so will see how she gets on with that, as she is not keen on busy.  She just needs the confidence and I am sure she will be fine.

Right, I think I am going to risk one more wash - off to DS's bedroom to try and refresh his bedding and bedroom!
