Wrote a post but the computer decided to reboot so here is a summary:

    *  DS very happy with how interview for volunteering went and starts next sat
    *  Signed us up for free lawn bowls on the 'Bowls big weekend' that is running nationwide - take a look
    *  This Sunday we plan on going to the local mend it cafe to get DS bike fixed and my cardigan

Off to bed feeling happy and content

Well done to your DS on getting through his interview for the volunteering and good he'll be starting next week.

Enjoy the bowls - I tried that years ago but found lawn bowls no good for me - just not able to roll the bowl far enough!  I did indoor short mat bowls for quite a long time and that was far better for me with not having to roll it as far!

Thank you @joedenise.  I was just so shocked at the difference between sending a grumpy teen boy in and a happy enthusiastic smiling one that came out.  It just never happens and I was not expecting it at all.

As for the bowling, we received an email today letting us know that this event is postponed until the sometime in the summer.  I am not sure why they signed up for it if they hadn't intended on hosting it, but they have now been in touch with the main event holders to stop more bookings.

Another week done, another crazy plan from one boss - it wont work but will need to let them figure that one out. Quite quiet but had a few bits to keep me going.  We have all had a long week so pjs and hoodies are on and just chilling out tonight.

Tomorrow we need to drop of DS's completed for form voluntary placement.  We also need some herbs from the local refill shop.  I also need to get started on the clubs request for raffle prizes.  I have a letter from previous years so I just need to tweak it and print it out.  I tried emailing it last year but didn't get such a good response as when sending an actual letter.

Tomorrow evening me and the girls will watch the Eurovision.  DS is not keen but might watch bits before heading back to his room.  We will be having HM Pizza and I have printed out some score cards, some bingo sheets and a sweepstake sheet just to help entertain us a little more and to make a night of it.

Broke another tooth today (could feel it was cracked for a while) so now have one either side - which side to eat on - who knows.  I just need them all out (not many left anyway) and a set of false teeth.  Soft food for a while I think.

Right off to do some surveys and competitions and listen to the radio

The bowls may have had to be postponed due to the weather.  If the weather is anything like ours has been over the last couple of months then the ground is likely to be waterlogged which wouldn't be any good for bowls.

One of our campsite bookings got cancelled yesterday and we're not even due to go for another 2 weeks!  The ground must be really boggy for it to be cancelled.

I suppose that could be the reason as it has been quite wet here.  Lets hope it is not rearranged for the week we are away and we can add it to the list of things to do for free in the summer holidays.  Only 9 ish weeks left before that.  I imagine the time will fly by.

Just had a whole load of surveys in a row to do.  Back up to £6.07 cleared and an extra £2.82 pending.  Just done another and got to the last page and it stopped working.  Frustrating but you never know

I had a thought last night out of the blue as I was going to sleep.  My child maintenance payments might soon change as the yearly look date is 3rd June.  I wonder if XH will claim he is living with her and her children so money will go down or if his wages have increased like most peoples and I might get a little extra?  Will have to wait and see I guess as there is nothing online at the moment to give me any indication.

I am up early as I have a food delivery coming.  It was the cheapest slot but might regret the early start when I am trying to stay awake for the results tonight.  The driver is still 7 stops away so I will enjoy the peace and quiet in the house before the children get up.  I will need to pop to lidl or aldi later to get some yoghurts as after last nights struggle to chew food I am going to need easy food.

Need to write a list of things to do today and before mum visits, and start working my way through them, or it will be a mad panic the day before she arrives.

Yay the sun has finally appeared and the washing is on the line.  We have been to the repair cafe which was ok but think I could have done just as well but nice to see what they do and hopefully if I have something I can't fixed myself I can take it there.  If DS's bike hasn't been sorted by next time we will take it down.  I am charging my de-bobbler too as both work cardigans need doing preferably before tomorrow.

Done some tidying and next job it to take some meter readings and pop them online.  It looks like the electric meter is now done automatically but the gas one is not as yet.  I think it was November they changed my account over and nothing has worked well since.  Been to get my yoghurts and a few other bits that we need.  We went to the refill shop yesterday to top up a couple of herbs.  They are half the price for a full refill so happy with that.

DD2's friend is coming round Wednesday before she emigrates which will be a sad affair I'm sure but one last play date before she goes.  Pizza has been requested for their dinner which I can do.  Orders to clean her room have been given but as yet not much is happening and I know we wont have time to do it after today.

Right must get on - lots to do before a full week back at work tomorrow

I'm on a roll.  DD2 has just signed up to volunteer at the local library for the summer reading challenge.  It's taken a little while to think about it and agree but she knows it will benefit her when she is looking for a paid job.  DD1 did it a few years back and has agreed to go along to the first session with her.

All 3 of them are growing up fast.  I knew what I was doing when they were little but this is more of an unknown somehow lol

@Crazycatlady2 I guess they all have their own challenges in life.

Well today has been good.  Work kept me busy the entire morning, although I should possibly have spread things out a little more so I have something to do for the rest of the week.  It flew by so I know I was busy.  There are still some disgruntled people around so will just smile and do my work and cheer them along if I can.

I met with my friend for lunch (her treat this time) which was lovely and we had a good catch up.  I really appreciate meeting with her and talking through things.

DS is still in a happy mood which is fantastic - he hasn't been like this for quite a while and is lovely to see him messing around and being cheeky.

We got a call from the opticians saying the girls new glasses were ready.  We quickly nipped their after the school run as not sure when we would have fitted it in this week.  £63 to pay for DD2's as she has the ones that turn into sunglasses and the frames were slightly over the free voucher price.  I don't mind for her as she wears them all of the time.  I save each month for this so plenty in the pot.

Our living room lights (2 wall lights and a 3 bulb chandelier type thing) always seem to blow the blubs.  We now only have 3 out of the 5 working and the other wall one is flickering and on its way out.  As they are dimmable I didn't think we could have energy saving bulbs, but this time I have found some.  They are quite expensive but 6 in the pack and will hopefully last a little longer and cost less in power.  They should arrive on Wed so hopefully the other bulbs will keep going until then.

I still haven't managed to do the meter readings.  I am home tomorrow afternoon so hopefully then - although I will need to get cat baskets out of the loft to the vet trip tomorrow evening, and then DS has his haircut booked straight from school.  This week will be non stop I think - never mind it will soon be the holidays
