    Another busy day here.  Work going well and keeping busy which is much better.  They really appreciate my money saving ways and helping the school to save too.

    DS has had his hair cut so looks a little more presentable now.  Unfortunately they never manage to get it the same as last time even though we show them pictures of exactly how they want it.  At least we had the good lad today rather than the really new apprentice like last time - that one didn't go as planned, which doesn't help as DS hates having his hair cut anyway.

    Cats went to the vets after that to have their 6 month check up that is apparently included in their pet plans.  First time since we've had them.  Next time we need it with a vet to prevent having to take them in again when their allergies flare up in about a months time.  At least it didn't cost anything and apart from one having put on weight all is fine.

    Done a few loads of washing, the last one is just being finished off in the dryer as the sun went down before it was dry.  They can then all be put away.  I need to load the dishwasher and have a quick tidy up of the kitchen before heading for my shower and bed.  I have started on my bedroom as it has become a dumping ground again.  Everyone's extra duvets from downstairs and extras from their beds were all in my room.  I have bagged them up for summer and they just need popping in the loft when I put the cat baskets away.

    Next door lives along but has had a joint of beef.  He wont get through it all and has given us a chunk for sandwiches which is lovely of him.  It will make some very nice pack lunches tomorrow and hopefully as it is cut thin my broken teeth will cope with it.

    My light bulbs will be delivered tomorrow, but until then we are living in the dark almost as another 2 bulbs have gone.  I think the lights cant cope if they are not all ok.  As soon as one goes they all go.

    Right off to get organised and ready for tomorrow :)

    It would seem that everyone other than my boss has heard that I have little to do.  They have all now given me bits to do and I am busy. I'm hoping it doesn't go too much the other way.
    Once home I tidied DD2's bedroom as she had her friend over and started but ran out of time.  Kitchen, bathroom and living room also now tidied.
    Been to dance class and home ready for bed.  Waiting for DD1 to return from her walk with friends, before I go have a shower and sleep.
    Nothing planned for tomorrow evening and looking forward to just getting home and relaxing.  I need to put the slow cooker on in the morning and it will be an easy dinner then too.

    Make sue you don't get overwhelmed with work from others!  If it starts getting that way please learn to say No to them.  I understand you want to help out because you don't have enough of your own work to do but I had the same problem when I was working and took it's toll with me becoming really stressed and having to take time off sick.  I soon learned to say No on my return to work.

    Enjoy your relaxing evening tonight.

    Thank you @joedenise, I totally agree with you.  I have said no today for something planned for tomorrow as I have already got extra things tomorrow.  I offered to help next week but tomorrow my time was taken up.  I finally also got some of my actual work through which was nice.  Fingers crossed this continues.  Students were all very excitable today which provided some challenging behaviour.
    Woke up and could have very easily have stayed in bed.  What is even worse it that I thought it was Friday and thinking at least I could stay in bed tomorrow.  No such luck, plus on Saturday I have another craft class.  This time it is glass fusing which I am looking forward to.  An early night instead today maybe.

    Work finished for another week.  I had some very good news this morning and am going into the weekend with a smile on my face and lots to think about.

    I have my glass fusing course tomorrow morning which I am looking forward to.  It is only 1 1/2 hours so not sure how much we will get done.  XH has the younger 2 on Sunday and I think that is our weekend planned.  Will obviously need to get homework and washing etc done and prepare for mum arriving a week from today.  Just booked the tables for our meals out while they are here, as well as one for the work girls.

    I need to check if I can link laptop to the tv - will get DS to help as he seems to know what to do.  I then need to get the escape room bits printed out ready so will transfer the files onto a memory stick.  I am using my extra hours to leave early Tuesday so will go to the copy shop on the way home.

    Right best get going :)

    Yay to the good news!

    With linking your laptop to the tv, if you have a smart tv and a laptop with Windows 10 you should be able to link without a cable, I think it's called projector. Otherwise a HDMI cable should do it :smile:

    Thank you @Jessy103 I'm not that tech savvy but yes it is a smart tv (currently unable to tune in actual tv channels - problem for another day as still have catchup tv etc) so will have a go this afternoon.

    Memory stick is now in the car ready for me to remember on  way home from work on Tuesday (next day they are open).

    Of to my glass fusing class shortly.  Wearing my new charity find summer skirt, so expecting it to be raining by the time I get home lol.  It should be sunny all day so have left instructions with DD1 to get her washing done and on the line.

    I have a couple of plants to plant up later too - hopefully they will grow quickly and build a screen between us and the neighbour.  I heard last night that the gates are still not ready but he has booked us in for first week after half term - would be very very unlikely they are not ready by then.  At least it should be done by the main part of summer so that we can go in the garden without people inviting themselves round.

    Other neighbour that rents had the estate agents round to value the house as it is being sold.  Nothing online as yet but guessing it wont be long before new neighbours that side either.  The plot of land out the back that is being built on hasn't had any life this last week.  I know they found a pipe that they didn't know about.  I am unrealistically hoping that they re think things and decide it is just not worth it and give up lol.

    Right need to get ready to go :)

    Well that was fun but time went really quickly.  Had to come up with designs in my head there and then to produce.  I think that was the hardest part.  I have some simple but effective pieces I think but will see once the arrive back from being cooked (I was late so missed what actually happens to them).  I am slightly annoyed that I was late.  I was convinced it started at 10.30 so got there for 10.15 but everyone else was already in the room being shown a power point type thing.  I hate walking into things like that with everyone staring at you.  Never mind I grabbed a spare seat and then a few min later we were creating designs.

    Once home I have put some washing on and now waiting for that to finish, loaded the dishwasher and cleared down the kitchen surfaces.  I have another load to go in the washing machine once this one is finished.  I still need to plant my 2 plants and then I think I will try to make DD2's shelf a little stronger by adding supports as think that is the only option left now.  I also need to reupholster the final 2 dining room chairs.

    I asked the children to choose what they wanted for their dinner - anything they like... their reply was chicken nuggets, waffles and spaghetti hoops.  Of all the lovely meals that they could choose as we have time today to cook it and that is what they chose.  I will have a portion of my curry I made the other week.

    OK washing is now spinning so will leave it there.  Good morning and hopefully a productive afternoon ahead

    Well the chairs didn't get done but I did plant my new plants and cut back others as well as weeding that bit of the garden.  Will move the chairs over to tomorrows list along with the rest of the garden.

    I did a sewing job for my Dad that I had been putting off.  He had an old cushion for a sun bed and wanted me to turn it into 2 seat pads for his picnic bench style seats.  It just needed cutting in half and each half sewing back up.  The problem was that the cushioning couldn't be taken out and the material was a waterproof type that I could barely get a pin in.  I opted for the sewing machine over hand stitching, but then the padding was in the way.  As long as he uses his eyes without his glasses on it is fine.  I am not happy with the quality of stitching but it should stay together.  I am hoping when he comes to collect he can trim the hedge for me.

    Waiting for DD1 to get home from her evening stroll and then I'm off to bed.  It has been a very productive day

    Good morning, just enjoying the peace and quiet before the children get up.  The sun hasn't made an appearance yet but I am hopeful.
    To do list for today:
    * Chairs
    * T-shirt design
    * Washing
    * Meal plan
    * Cooking bits ready for DD2's lesson
    * Garden
    * Take pic of DS for pass
    * Bits into the loft

    That should keep me out of trouble for today.  Off to wake the children as XH will be here in an hour to collect younger 2
