  • Sorry for your loss wishus.

Total for January £148.52/£120. I am 100% blaming this on my boss, who swapped my day off around meaning I had to do an extra shop today to last through - I normally batch cook on days off and just heat up food on working days, but that's not going to happen this week!

    Sorry for your loss wishus.

Am running a yearly budget this year but have come in at £137.20 / £139.50 for Jan (so £2.30 under my notional max for the month to keep on track). Haven't touched my bulk fund yet so £0/£27.50 for that so far. See you on the Feb thread...
    Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

  • I have come in at £334/ £240 so hugely overbudget by £94 which is terrible. Usually, it's about £330 but I thought I'd really tried this month so for next month. I am going to only spend £240 and be really strict with myself about £70 is cat food and cat litterso I'm stuck with that. Do you think drawing out the cash would help? Help!

  • Can I have the same amount for February £240 I'll look out for the next thread or will this one run on?

  • Spent £1.98 today.
OH felt like he was getting a cold and so went to get yogurt (don't know if it is plecbo effect or it works but usually does him good) and when he was there he picked me up a reduced vegan coleslaw and a reduced pot of houmous too.

So now I can officially state the following:
    £163.86/£150.
    £13.86 over.
Not going to argue with that.
I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy :D
  • Not a good month... set a target of £240 as it sounded do-able but went over by £70.77.  £59.81 of that was the monthly dog food so I guess if I remove that from the equation, I'm only £10.96 over budget!!  Going to try next month with an updated budget of £300 which includes the dog food!
It's better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.
