  • My condolences wishus, do be kind to yourself during what is an even more trying time, hugs.

    £11.90 spent since last post.

    £161.88/£150.
    £11.88 over.
This should be us done for January.
Considering last year we averaged £226.22 a month 😳 by my calculations I'm calling this an over all win.

OH and I have done an inventory of all the cupboards and we are both shocked at how much stuff we have in. We will continue to work our way through our stocks to help keep costs down in February and onwards. Some things need to be bought though such as vegetable oil (buy 3L bottle as minimum due to OH bread making, decant into smaller bottle for ease of use) etc which will be bought come February 1st as we usually do bulk items needed at the start of the month.
I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy :D

So sorry to hear of your father's death wishus, condolences from here too. I hope you can find comfort in your memories.

I caved and visited M*rks and spent £18.60 which brings my total up to £84.21/£124 and I have an ever lengthening list of items that they don't stock so will need to go to Sainsbo's next week for among other things cooking apples!

    My condolences wishus
I can't see any reason why I should need any groceries over the next three days, so I'm declaring this to be the end of the month. £0 spent, it's a first for me but I am getting low on some basic items so I'll need to order online at some stage (self isolating).
So now I'm heading over to the Feb thread
  • Jan ended for me yesterday, really happy to close on £394.11 / £490 - £14.08pd.
(although my YS ray wing did not go down well  :D )

Another £12.50 spent yesterday on some milk, eggs, chicken thighs and cat bits. I might have a look in c00p and Sainsbobs on our daily constitutional to see if there’s anything interesting cheap, but otherwise I should be done. Total of £161.68/£200.
I kind of wanted to keep it under £150 but I have stocked up with meat and have my own weight in curry, chilli and bolognese in the freezer! Should make February a bit easier!
