  • Good evening everyone.
I've put the seeds out of the pepper i chopped for dinner to soak. Ill then dry them and save them to plant in a few months.

I'm happy with what I got done today. Still alot more to do until I'll be happy with the house. My focus in January is definitely to get the house decluttered and organised. I need to try and source some storage boxes. I've looked on fb but people seem to sell them at the same price they are new so I might end up doing an order on IKEA. :( I've saved as many of the cardboard boxes i can from Christmas 🎄.

I'll try to rack my brain .. ideas are welcome and very much appreciated 😀

Dinner is cooking. Using up sausages that go out of date today and potatoes and salad (all stuff that needs using up)

When can I plant potatoes ?

I have saved gift bags for next year and cards for tags next year.

5 frugal things I did today (or cheap whichever way you want to look at it lol)

    1. Used up food for dinner that was on its way to the bin (apart from the sausages that were im date until today)

    2. Saved gift bags from Xmas for next year and Xmas cards for tags

    3. Used the airer instead of the tumble dryer

    4. Saved my pepper seeds.

    5. Also I'm going to leave the oven open when dinner is finished to warm the kitchen up and help my washing dry 🙃

Anyone save wrapping paper to use next year or is that just ott  lol ?

Also I've got a nice little routine now of how I wash dishes so I don't have to empty the water and refill (because the waters got really dirty) I start with the cleaner stuff and the dirtiest stuff gets done last.

Right off to serve dinner bath the 2 little ones  bedtime story . Get them to bed and then I'm hoping to read for half an hour 🙃

Hi, mumof3. I don't think you need to soak the pepper seeds. I just put them to dry on apiece of kitchen/toilet paper. Then put them, once dry, into an old envelope. Tomato seeds the same. HTH mumtoomany.

I'm also going to really try hard at quitting smoking. I'm not going to set a date because that stresses me out and I end up not giving up. Ill just decide at some point enough is enough and do it

On the plus side. We will get an extra payment due to the adjustment tomorrow (which actually works out alot more than our monthly amount we will receive. So tomorrow I will make a payment to very.

Also I get paid 4 weekly and all our benefits are paid 4 weekly which means every year we actually get 13 payments. I have noted in the calendar the months we get 2 payments of something and the 2nd payment will go straight to debt or savings.

We have cash in a tin here at home. It consists of extra money made , money left over from food etc. If I can get enough in there I will use this money to cover Xmas and the money we save regularly for Xmas I will again use for an  extra payment to debt.

Basically everything after our outgoings is being thrown at debt or savings 🙃

    Eta 11.05am
I have sorted the money in the tin. I have enough to cover ds2 birthday £50 , dd birthday £50  , half of ds1 Xmas £50. I've already sorted ds1 birthday present. So thats our kids birthday presents covered for 2021. Just there Xmas present money to save up and for other family members Christmas and birthday presents. And DPs Xmas and birthday present
