Yeah I understand, no erc on loan but my catalogue will charge at 39.9% if not paid off before the buy now pay later period ends. Hence why I want to clear the catalogue first

Good afternoon my beautiful diary friends..

    2 items sold.. £4.60 made..

One item being collected (listed for free) so that's a total of 3 items this morning.

I'm in alot of pain today so will pace myself getting things done then I'm going to start reading one of my books. I also have lots of ebooks on my library app that I would like to read. I definitely want to start limiting the amount of TV I watch.

Me and oh have talked for a while about getting a freesat box or freeview . But we already have all the bbc itv channel 4 and channel 5 apps so does anyone know what we will actually gain from a freesat box (our ariel is pants so we were going to use the satalight dish that was fitted by the previous people..

    Thanks everyone

Eta no spend day today !

Dinner is in the oven. I've used up the last of some stuff in the freezer to lessen the amount of half opened boxes and bags. We have a freezer that is just 2 big drawers when we open  stuff it goes into the top drawer. My fridge/freezer is over ten years old now. I never replace appliances until they break and are unfixable or will cost more to fix than to replace.

House is looking better slowly. I'll be having a huge clear out in the new year.

    Tomorrow's project is the Garden.

    Hello my beautiful diary friends,

Okay so I think I have worked out how much we will have left to pay for our fire installation.
And we have paid for the plastering in dd room.
So next year we will need to pay for

    Roof repair
Carpet and paint for dd room

Everything else can wait until the debt is paid off.
I have transferred what was left of the loan money to savings.
So our savings as of today are £8500 I'm hoping this will cover a new car and the bill for some damage on our car when the lease ends.
We will save up for the roof, carpet and paint  separately.
So we go into the new year ready to start paying off this debt. And I'm hoping my manager will approve my request for my new hours.
I have done a zero based budget for 2021.

    Explaining some of our budget
Sinking funds - unexpected birthdays, school uniform, clothes basically any extra spends outside of our budget that are unexpected but 'needed'

National trust. We haven't used this, this year due to covid and I was going to cancel it but we hope to use it again alot on 2021 and due to this being such a tough year for so many I wanted to continue to contribute towards them as in years previous they have gave us lots of lovely days out and memories.
As we are still quite young once the debt is paid off I plan to buy a lifetime family pass

    - giffgaff I want to try and reduce this too £6 a month but I seem to run out of data before the month is up. I will try harder ..

    - tobbaco , both me and my partner are still smoking. I hope to finally kick this habit in 2021.

Petrol - our current car drinks the fuel. I'm hoping my next car will be better 🙏  so I can reduce this

Food - at the moment we struggle to get our food shop below £60-£80 a week. The 300 is too allow for 5 week months.

Because we are trying to be more resourceful, spend less, limit the amount we send to land fill and live with less or just enough within our comfort  (minamilist) we shouldn't touch the sinking funds to much. And what we don't spend will either go to debt or towards the car fund.

In the new year I will be withdrawing the money for food , petrol and tobacco and sinking funds Any money left over will roll over to the next week/month when it gets to £100 extra it will be put back into the bank and used as an extra debt payment. I won't include sinking funds in this. What is left from sinking funds at the end of the year will go towards an extra debt payment.

    Very catalogue budget.
Once very is paid off, this money will then go to the loan each month.

Help to save. I want to try and continue with this as I get £25 for every £50 I pay in.

Amazon prime. Although we won't be using the delivery service so much in 2021 we do use all of the other services it offers. So we will be keeping this

Pocket money for the kids was something I started this year. It stops them asking for stuff if they want something more than their £10 a month they know they have to save for it.

Emergancy fund / car i will keep paying this until aug when our car goes back to try and top up the savings abit more. Once we know the cost we will need to pay we will re-evaluate the savings etc.

When the car goes back £240 will be saved in a separate account and that will be used to cover insurance tax mot repairs and fund the next car. Again if it gets to a silly amount it will be used towards debt

  • Eta.. my pay in January might be less than in the above budget due to reduced hours. The budget above is based on my new requested hours but my manager hasn't confirmed this yet.
