Aww thank you @Blackcats I hope you have had a nice day.

Good evening my beautiful diary friends. I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas, and if you haven't for whatever reason im sending hugs.

I worked 4 hours today which was an extra shift for my current hours so I'm bagging that as extra money made so it works out at £52 after deductions (double pay).

I also made a small £9 payment to very my first debt payment since starting this diary

Oh got me a lovely cash envelopes purse for Xmas so I'll be using that from January..I'm hoping it helps me keep a closer eye on our spends.

I didn't have a Christmas t shirt or jumper for work so I made  a one. I put a branch off our tree in the shape of a tree and then glued on tinsil and baubles it went down a treat with the other staff and residents :)

Have a lovely rest of your Christmas celebrations everyone

Love hugs positivity and prayers to you all xx

Good afternoon my beautiful diary friends,
Okay so now Christmas is over. I can fully focus on this diary and my goals with no distractions.
Dec will be a low pay month due to only doing one shift a week (not counting the extra shifts I did yesterday) I have enough in the bank to cover our bills account and spends account. And I'll have about 300 to split between the rest.

We have paid the bill for out fire installation  it was alot mote than thought so total in savings going into the new year is £7000. This is to cover any emergencies, the bill (amount unknown) for some damage on our car that is currently leased. And to hopefully buy a car cash. If we have enough left over I'll also pay the tax and insurance for the year in full.

I'll update our goals page now. So we know where we are at. On the last day of the month I'll do all our normal transfer money for bills food etc and then see what is left for our tins and non dd bills.

I really hope to stick to this. And like previously I hope to develop new good habits but this time ones that will stick.
There will be lots of days out and free activities. Decluttering our home creating a space that brings a more positive environment and sticking to my new routine that I am still trying to stick too lol.

Overall I hope you enjoy reading our journey and may even be able to take some inspiration or learn something new.

Have a lovely boxing day everyone

Love hugs positivity and prayers to you all

ETA - my manager has approved my request of my new reduced hours from January ♡ anything over these extra hours from January i will be classing as overtime and it will go into the 'extra money made pot' after deductions

    Hello my beautiful diary friends,
I hope you are all well.
So the fire installation company didn't include disposing of the rubbish in the price, and there is more than we thought.
I'm going to see if anyone wants the bricks. That way we won't have so much to get rid of. I also have loads of cardboard to get rid of which ill take to our supermarket recycling. And then ill try and take some stuff to the skip when it's open on Wednesday

I have a few things to do today still, I'm going to list 5 things i need to do each day. It could be things round the house, errands, doing a shift at work etc. But at least one thing needs to be related to money. (Not spending it either 🤑)

I'm also going to start limiting the amount of time I spend on my phone. Not including reading or video calls with family. From Tomorrow I'm going to allow myself a maximum of 2 hours a day.

So my five things each day this week.

Get stuff ready for work tomorrow
    Tidy upstairs
Load stuff in the car for the skip

    Wednesday

    Morning my beautiful diary friends.
I hope you are all well. I want to get the house sorted today and over the next few days, ready to start the new year how we intend to continue.
I have a few jobs to do which means I need to use the car but its very icy so I'm not going to risk it.
I have my follow up app tomorrow about a mark on my face. 🤞 he won't have to do a referral.
    Also have work tomorrow.

I have my list ready written out so I can avoid the temptation to use my phone. I'll update later with how I get on

Have a good day everyone xx
    Eta - 3pm
Withdrawn the money for food, bacci  and petrol for December.

Spent £19.92  today at mr t (milk bread etc)

Took the cardboard to Mr t recycling

Got a few things done round the house.
I think we are going for a walk this afternoon ds2 wants to take his bike out that he got for his birthday in November.

Updated paper diary (its one that begins in sept and ends in aug) I'm not going to replace it in aug 2021 ill just get a note pad to list my to do list and I'll continue to use the calendar on the wall that was sent through the post from one of the local churches and my phone.

I get paid every 4 weeks in my current job. But as my pay has been so low due to sick pay etc it doesn't really feel like an extra pay. Anyway ill put whatever the pay is to pay a chunk off very and use £50 of it too put towards Xmas and birthday.
Sil birthday and brothers birthday and ds2 birthday this month so unfortunately this month non of it will go towards Xmas 2021.

We will have money left over from this month's food budget so I'll put that in the tin today and leave £5 in the change jar as a just incase

Money has been transferred for tv licence (we pay yearly)

Nothing else to update on atm

Hope you are all having a great day
