2nd of March no spend day

I've got a few things to get done today.
    Got housework to do too.
The positive is by concentrating on housework I'm not spending money. And my mental health is improving as the house improves

I have a parcel to take to the post office, I need to get petrol for the car, and I have a mountin of clothes to sort and put away. Also needs to tidy and hoover the lounge. Do a  few skip runs.

    I can't remember what else 🤣

I really reccomend searching your local area for groups to go to. And for free events that are on. We are really fortunate here that we have a few things that are run and don't cost anything to go. The kids take part in some of them. Fb is great way to search. Also don't be afraid to put a post up on your profile asking people you will be surprised at the amount of places and things to do.

Right I need to get cracking, I haven't got much done this morning yet

    Hope everyone is well

  • Morning my beautiful diary friends
I hope you are all well..

    4th March no spend day
5th of March £20 spent at tesco for cooking ingredients for ds1 for school.
Today (6th) will be a no spend day

Going to sort all the laundry out now before I go to work.

I have the weekend and Monday off so I'm going to really focus on the house then, the main job being skip runs and sorting through everyone's clothes and minimising them.

  • 6th no spend day
7th was a spend day DP went to the shop for some milk and bread etc spent about £10 😱

    Today (8th) no spend day

I've been at work this morning on training.
Dp has been working from home.

Took the kids to the park after school yesterday with DP

Ds1 has football training tonight (plays for the local teen football group. He loves it and it's funded so it doesn't cost us anything which is a  win win

Now I'm doing some jobs around the house before we go and pick up a dressing table for dd which I got off fb market place for £5, I've been keeping my eye out for one for a few months now so I'm very happy.

  • Today will be another no spend day.

We have so much food in the house that needs using up. Trying to only buy fresh stuff, bread fruit etc

I'd like to get some takeaway boxes to freeze leftovers. I also need to do a food inventory this week, skip runs too.

I'm at work this afternoon. I have tomorrow off so will concentrate on the things on my to do list tomorrow

Love your March no spending challenge - sounds like you’re doing great! Especially with being mindful of not wasting food. I need to get better at this.

HI Mumof3, how about margarine tubs, ice cream tubs, etc. If you've not got many, line one with a plastic bag, when its frozen pull out the bag, tie up. You can reuse the box and still stack your freezer meals. HTH, mumtoomany.xx
